i've read that people who have played as honorable and outlaw don't see any difference in how the game/story is played out. you just get a black horse. lol.
Yeah, I did that now. Cool. I got credits. Exciting. I'm still playing as a whiny voiced little tool.
Being honourable gets you discounts from stores, increased profit for selling your wares, and at its peak, the law will turn a blind eye to minor crimes. Being a badass gets you, as mentioned above, a black horse and discounts at Thieve's Landing or other similar shady locations. If the honor system had more weight and would cause an alternate ending, then it would be cool, but alas, that isn't the case.
I got a little bored half waythrough. In my opinion, Dead eye and auto aim make it boring. I feel like freakin' Mario Almada out there, I kill like 20 guys with my revolver in a gun battle and not a single scratch on me.
Yeah, I've just finished Mexico and I'm back in Blackwater. This game looks cool, and the story is nice, but the gameplay for the main story is too easy. There are frequest checkpoints too, so that if you die in the middle of a mission it usually doesn't take you back very far.
Yeah, the multiplayer on that guy is so addictive.... The fact that the battlfield changes as buildings and landscape is destroyed is just amazing. And it is more team oriented, there are no med stations or ammo boxes, your teamates supply those anywhere on the battlefield. Just the best FPS ever made, IMO. DD
I"ll check it out, though I rarely play multi-player games (don't have xbox live). What are top titles for single-player?
Oblivian was awesome, Mass Effects are great, if you have a PS3, I highly recommend Uncharted 2 and Drake's fortune. Just too many too list actually. I have a free 1 month XBox live card lying around if you want to try it out for free.... DD
Thanks for the offer on XBL, but I don't have a wired internet connection near my xbox, and I don't have the wireless adapter either. I actually have a few games that I just haven't started playing yet that I heard was really good -- Oblivion and Bioshock. I've got these games right now: Red Dead Redemption GTA IV Fallout 3 Oblivion Bioshock Batman: Arkham Asylum Ninja Gaiden 2 Ninja Gaiden 1
Durv, go get a wireless adapter, once you start playing online the gaming experience is soooo much better. We have 2 Xbox 360s in this house, one is for me, the other for my kids, both with live connections...one wired, one wireless....and they work great. DD
Is there a way to play the song after Spoiler Dutch dies . I jumped off my horse and I guess that ended the song. I was kinda liking it.
I see you listed u had batman. Idk if you have played it yet, but it along with assassin's creed 2 are the best purely single player games I have played in a while
Yeah, I completed that one -- pretty quickly actually, during one weekend. I never got back to it after the first pass through, so I know there are a ton of things I missed. The games I've spent the most time with are Fallout 3 and GTA IV. I really liked the first Ninja Gaiden and I played through it a few times. The second one is good too, but I've yet to complete it.
Agree with DD about Uncharted II. That, Bioshock, and Batman probably my 3 fav single player games for the PS3. Kill Zone has a great campaign mode but it's not long so may not be worth buying if you're not going to play the multi player. Dead Space and GOW III are decent campaigns too. As far as Red Dead, I felt the same way, the auto aim make it waay too easy, I never really feel threatened. I sill haven't finished it, though I know I'm close to the end. It has fantastic graphics, and I like the characters, but the game play is a big turnoff for me.
I played through batman on expert, so it took a bit longer. Assassin's Creed 2 was an incredibly long game, it took a long time to beat. I highly reccomend that. I don't carre for RPGs much so I don't know a whole lot about which ones of those are good. Shooters tend to have large online components, so if u are not hooked up to Live, stuff like Gears of War and the Cods (the clear best shooters imo) might not be worth getting
