Ive completed like 88%....Doing the ranch stuff right now...havent did the son missions but I finished housework for the wifey. Once I finish the Uncle and Son....I will go try and kill a cougar with knife...only need to kill one more...and not looking forward to killing a bear with a knife beavers are up north...u have to wait till you unlock tall trees area....also seen skunks and coons up there....foxs as well oh and BEARS... If you kill one Bear...be ready to run cuz 3-4 are right behind it lol...think I was getting killed by Bears for atleast 2 hours...before I switched rifles...and started getting one shot kills I want to be a US Marshall....you have to complete all the U.S. hideouts in 24hrs gametime.
Means you aren't finished the story mode. Their are end credits, it's just you haven't finished the very last mission yet. Go to the Blackwater train station platform...
well, 2 hours into it today and i just experienced my first freeze. good thing i saved right before it.
ya, since reading about people's freezes I've had like 3 or 4. That last one, it quit the game and went to the main screen of the console. Gave up playing after that. (was about to bring back a bounty alive, but then it crashed).
Just beat it....love the song during end credits..overall soundtrack was very good...and game was great....
One good way to do it is to shoot them once in the legs.......you can then hog tie them easily and bring them back alive. DD
how do you hogtie? i shot one in the leg and stood next to him pressing every button and nothing worked. the b*stard eventually picked up his gun and started shooting at me. i said **** it, "Boom, headshot!"
Do you have a rope? If so, rope the person, and hold down on the left trigger. Then walk towards them and press the appropriate button that comes up. Its pretty fun. I like to chase after criminals, rope them, and the drag them back into town from my horse. But when I do so, the entire town starts screaming like I'm doing something horrific. And here I thought it was funny.
After you lasso, you press the Y button for xbox (guessing the triangle for PS3) to hogtie. At the bottom right hand side of the screen, there will be a prompt to let you know when you can hogtie.
Have you completed all the early game Bonnie missions? You get a lasso in like the third or fourth one.
Damn, this was like the 5th time that my horse either walked off a cliff and died, or in this case. It was following me, made a turn....and fell 15ft into a lake and drowned....
Lasso is like the 6th Bonnie mission. I'm having to do an escort mission (those are always fun) in Mexico, but for some reason the wagon won't move. It just sits in one place and rocks back and forth like the game THINKS it's moving and the horses act like they're walking, but it isn't going anywhere. I'm letting my Xbox sit for a while and see if the bug works itself out..
My hardest missions when playing the game was getting wild horses. I lassoed for a second while on my horse than right after the lasso released the horse. The only way I was able to get them was by lassoing while on the floor when the other horses got tired and started walking around.
Definitely a great moment. Spoiler you just fought what feels like a ton of enemies, you are on your own in a new land, its dark, you have no idea what lies ahead...just you and your horse as you ride into a big question mark. The song brings about the emotion of the situation very nicely. Will remember that scene for a long, long time.
The song "Compass" by James Lidell near the end of the game was very fitting and great imo. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iZ9iflvCwok&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iZ9iflvCwok&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> ENDING THOUGHTS Spoiler Who nearly shed a tear for John Marston's end? It was definitely gutwrenching, especially since I chose the path of the honourable cowboy. The missions where you re-connect with your family really built up well for the emotional ending. All in all, one of the best games I've played. I highly recommend this game. I've already re-started a new game taking a new path of being a viscous desperado.
Does that actually change the game play at all? I've done my share of dishonorable things, but also my share of honorable, stupid bandana doesn't seem to be helping much any more. When I first started playing I kept killing the deputies who were randomly chasing convicts out in the wilderness shooting at them. I kept thinking I was helping, but turns out I was helping the bad guys.
