I've been finding them everywhere somehow. Not sure if you know, but duct tape counts as adhesive and I've found 9 rolls in my first 5 hours, plus a couple wonder glues. My luck is pretty high but idk if that has much to do with finding adhesives. Luck is pretty darn useful and has some nice perks. I've got mine at 7 currently. For guns and lockpicking id focus on perception, agility, and luck. Make sure not to max out any skill at the onset since their are bobble heads for each that will increase your skill by 1. You can also choose to increase a skill point with each level instead of choosing a perk. Oh and have at least enough intelligence for the level 1 gun mod perk. I think it's level 3 intelligence but not 100% on that. That should help start you on the right path for your guns play style and also higher intelligence gives you more experience for stuff.
I actually went with the following build... STR 3 PER 4 END 1 CHA 6 INT 5 AGI 3 LUC 6 Endurance is crap
Yea that's not a bad spread. It's tough to ignore endurance for my style because I eat way more food than in fallout 3 so my hp is usually a quarter full of rads since my endurance is kinda low (3). I save stims for emergencies. Eventually I'll get the lead belly perk. But strength is my dump stat. I like rifles and shotguns and I stay away from melee. I'm not much of a hoarder of items so having 220 carry weight doesn't bother me.
You guys are breaking my will to keep from buying the game and XB1. However, even if my will t keep from the game is weak, my wife's will for me not to spend money is very strong.
3 each of Corn, Mulfruit & Tato + purified Water in the cooking station will make Vegetable Starch that yields 5 Adheives. Unlimited Supply!!!
I'm enjoying the hell out of the game, BUT... Some (not all) of the voice acting is just terrible. So bad that I'd think they jut went around the office to find random people to read a script into a microphone at the last minute, but one of the main characters, Preston Garvey, is among the offenders. He's not the worst, by any means, but he is the most prominent. Some of the more obscure stuff is just terrible (there are a couple of "holodisk" recordings that sound like a parody of bad acting) - makes Preston Garvey seem like he was voiced by Laurence Olivier.
My biggest complaint is the graphics. I've played for about 24 hours total at this point and the gameplay is great and the shooting and combat mechanics are much improved from previous Bethesda games, but it just doesn't feel next-gen like I was hoping for. Obviously gameplay is more important than visuals, but it's a bit of a disappointment.
It took me a while to figure out how so I will post just incase one of you are trying to figure it out as well. Local leader perk (CHR) will share resources (building items, furniture etc) once you set up the supply route, it isn't automatic. Click a settler and send them to the city you want to share resources with and that will be his job. You have to do it will all towns you want to include
The best part about this game is that it can fully distract you from how much the Rockets are disappointing.
Thinking about doing it to get my Charisma up to 5. With bobblehead I should have 6 and unlock the Perk to link up settlements and build traders.
I played fallout 3 and new vegas earlier this year...it was so boring to me. I just don't get the hype. I'll still play 4, but i don't get what the point is. There is no real story. You're just walking around collecting things and the graphics/mechanics are terrible. It feels like a really dated game. I'm not a big gamer but what's the big deal with this over something like Skyrim or Mass Effect series which i absolutely loved and was completely immersed in. I feel like you can do all the same things you can do in Fallout in countless other games.
Same here. Played Fallout Vegas and was shocked out how many people love that game. I need constant missions to do and being active in a story, in stead of mindlessly wandering and occasionally getting attacked by weird animals. I never really understood the hype myself.
Skyrim has the same basic gameplay style and graphics, and is from the same developer. Not sure how you could be engrossed in one and bored by the other, but to each their own. Finally fought my way to diamond city. Went to touch the Green Monster, and then I had to save.
