What about Ninja Gaiden? I caught the review on G4 and it looked good.

Jade Empire comes out pretty soon (I think in April). It sounds like a great game and is made by Bioware, so it should be a good pick for a Xbox RPG game. That's the only RPG that I can think of for the Xbox off the top of my head that is coming out soon.

Yea, seems to be a slow time for game right now in general, especially for XBOX. I have $100+ in credit and nothing to spend it on.

Jade Empire was already mentioned. If their previous games they made (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I & II) are any indication, Jade should be pretty good.

Doom 3 comes out the first week of April and it sounds pretty good as well. If you get the Collector's Edition, you can play Doom I & II and even play co-op through them.

Bleh... Doom 3 was pretty mediocre, IMO, on the PC, and it is looking a lot worse on the Xbox. Riddick is probably a lot better than Doom. I guess if you really wanted to play it, along with I and II, and you don't have a great PC, it wouldn't be too bad, but there will probably be other FPS games on the Xbox. There will even be other PC ports, IIRC. I think Farcry will come out soon, and I read that they are making a Half-life 2 Xbox port as well (ugh).

It sounds like any developers who are working with Microsoft for games are probably slowing down development in hopes of getting a head start for next-gen, so I don't know if the amount of games for Xbox will pick up. It may just be a rumor, and once E3 comes around, we'll hear about 5-10 great games coming out between summer and winter.

I picked up my copy of Gods of War today and I have to say its pretty good so far.

I've never been real into these types of games only because I either get tired of it or, for some reason or another, I put the game down for a few days to a week and can't get myself into it again, especially with trying to fit on playing time between the 9-5 and my 1+ yr' old son. I mainly just stick with sports games.

I watched the videos of this game on IGN and was instantly hooked. So I decided to pick it up as I had alot of credit to spend.

I'm at the beginning, so I don't have alot of moves so I am basically mashing 2-3 buttons along with the block button to fight. The game is certainly action packed with no dull moment.

Again, I'm still pretty early in the game but, if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Got this game today too, so far it is amazing!!

Very good game, go buy it!

PS, there are boobies in this game, and you actually get to participate in a three some with some mythological whores. That was pretty funny!

I'll get it once I am finished with Onimusha 3- Demon Siege. I love the game, I am stuck but hope to get farther in it.

LOL! Yea, just did that as well! Did it so much I knocked over the vase which gave me a bunch of those red orbs. LOL!!!

I love it when a game makes you think to how to beat a boss and not just button mash. I read there is only 3 total bosses but that they are cool as hell. The boss I hust fought, big water serpheant, was a little of both. Kept wondering why the hell they kept coming back, but once I thought harder, I figured it out.

    Great game so far!

Well just finished Devil May Cry 3 last night. Couldn't get God of War today, since it didn't come in until I left for work. I'll be picking it up in the morning, but so far I'm encouraged by the word of mouth.

This does look like a keeper... I'm never gonna get 100% in GTA:San Andreas with all the damn games I keep buying.

I read that, being able to breeze right through it, was a downfall of the game. I can see why. I haven't been able to put it down. I'm hoping I can beat this before Doom 3 comes out next week so to not conflict with the already little game time I have these days.

I've only fought the first boss so far, are the others cool as hell?

Without giving away details, is the ending good?

Just got it...very addictive! Amazing game! A true epic action/adventure! I like this game a lot better than DMC1 and DMC3 (Didn't like DMC2) as well as another favorite adventure game.... like Primal.

The music seems to be a combination of Primal and Galdius (a good strategy game if you haven't played it).

God of War has some of the best musical scores I've ever heard. If I had to rank this game I'd rank it as one of my all time favorites...

    1) GTA: Vice City
    2) GTA: San Andreas
    3) Final Fantasy X
    4) God of War
    5) GT3
    6) GT4
    7) Primal
    8) Silent Hill 2
    9) Mark of Kri
    10) Devil May Cry 1
    11) Legacy of Kain: Defiance
    12) Gladius
    13) Need for Speed Underground 2
    14) Need for Speed Underground 1
    15) Rise of the Kasai (Mark of Kri Prequel out soon)

Note: Halo is top 5. But I played it on the PC...that's why it's not listed on my PS2 list. I haven't played Halo 2 yet.

Other favorites in no particular order...Star Wars: Battle Front, Midnight Club II, 007: Everything for Nothing, Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, GTA 3, MGS.

This should give you an idea on how good *this* game is.

By the way RC Cola...that sex scene is at the start of the game from the main characters ship (two concubines). The orbs you get aren't enough to try and "cheat." Besides...you leave the ladies on the ship...there are better ways to get more obs. It's funny, though. I think they put it in the sex game for only a gag purposes (one uses the controls to please them; pressing certain keys in sequence). They could have left that part out, IMO.

The camera does pans away from the sex scene....good thing...because the game saved itself from being tagged as p*rn. I do think the nudity was a GOOD IDEA since it gave the game that extra edge and blended itself as part of the story; in a sensual/mystical kinda way. The "sex game" seems to be bordering on tacky. That's why I said it was more a gag than part of the story.

Overall, this game is awesome! Great graphics, story, music, and game play! Everything is well balanced between adventure, puzzles and combat. The combat gets better and better as the game plays along. Once you learn the key sequences it's fun trying different moves to dispose of your enemies.

Note: Only played 2 hours so far.

This game just gets cooler and cooler. I can't tell you how many times I have sat there, looked at what is going on, and said "Damn, that's cool!"

A true epic and I can never put it down once I start playing.

The only thing that has bothered me is there has been a few spots where I wanted to throw my system through my TV because of being extremely frustrating. Having to kill 20-30 enemies in a short period of time before you either get smashed by a wall or the floor falls out from under you, really racks up your deaths and my stress.

As frustrating as the game can be at times, I feel as if a I truely made it through a true battle and feel fortunate I'm still alive. This is one of the most rewarding games I have played as I feel I am actually having to beat it rather than feel as if I could have gone through it with one eye closed and a hand tied behind my back. If you know what I mean.

    Great game, IMO.

Yeah Hades was aggravating. Especially the two towers you have to climb. Just about drove me to distraction.

I finished the Challenges of the Gods, so now I'm going back and playing it on "Hard" to unlock the rest of the movies. Unfortunately, It's REAL hard. You get hit twice by a boss, you're pretty much dead. I've managed to make it to Pandora's tower and beaten the Challenge of Atlas, but it's slow going.

BTW, I don't want to spoil the ending, but if you want a secret message, mess around with the two big statues you see at the end of the game. I won't say what, just experiment :D . I know you get a special secret message when you do the correct thing on "Normal", I'm trying to find out if you get a different one on "Hard".
