chase is also shooting 40% fg and 31% from 3. thats slightly better than trevor so please calm down folks. by the way im not hating i met chase before real cool dude im just being a realist. everyones talking like hes the equivalent to j.r. smith of the bench or something
Ariza might be longer and slightly quicker, but he is stiffer (with and without the basketball) than Chase. And Chase can actually dribble the ball in traffic and finish.
was at the game and saw chase throwing down windmill dunks in pre game. didnt' look like that ankle was bothering him much.
although wafer is a 2 and chase is a 3, chase essentially replaced wafer as the outside wing scorer from the bench, and is actually an upgrade.
Chase doesn't try to force things that's outside of his role. That's a major plus for the players we have and the style we play.
Well, I rather have Chase finish out the game in place of Ariza. He doesn't force bad shots and play within his role.
If Ariza were a rookie we might not be so down on that FG%. Trouble is, Ariza himself could have that FG% up around 43/35 if he stuck with 3 things: Catch n shoot. Slash without the ball. Fast break dunks. He takes bad contested shots which are the problems we are pointing out. I dont think anyone gets mad at him taking wide open 3s. It's the 'think about it' and yo yo stuff that gets us upset. That, and trying to drive in against good defenses (meaning defender in a good stance looking at him within a few feet) and throwing up something that would make Rafer Alston cringe.
From the floor view, it was surprising how quick Chase got away from everyone. It was also poor defense by the Knicks, no one wanted to stop him. The Knicks spent a lot of time complaining to the refs and it started about the time their lead was going away.
According to Cbud himself, he's still only at 85% and that breakaway dunk was not up to his standards Here's the link : http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/hotstories/6808708.html
