I thought I was the only one disturbed by the vid. Both deserved to be prosecuted. The black dude for throwing the first punch, and the old guy for provocation and acting out of portion after the dude clearly submitted w/ two hands on his head.
BTW, the sentiments I have seen in this thread reminds me of the sort of public reaction after the Gortez shooting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernhard_Goetz

i was about to post this - someone needs to give this guy a tv show - NOW!!! im just speechless after watching this. he is truly operating on another level. not only was he not arrested, but he claims the cops now give him rides and buy him coffee and donuts. and he claims the other guy was a convicted murderer who is back in prison for parole violations. according to his version the other guy butted in on his conversation w/ someone else and made it a race issue first. he went to prison after nam and also sold drugs and was 'pimpin' and stuff' - and he calls for obama to end the wars and says he is glad bush is no longer president. epic beard guy/palin - 2012!!!
Your inference is incorrect. I have spent more time/words criticizing the behavior of the white guy, not because I think he is more guilty, but because everyone acknowledges that the black guy was in the wrong while many think the white guy did nothing wrong. I also did not intend to post as often as I did in this thread, but when a number of people continue to question me or misconstrue my words I feel compelled to address them. And let me know if you think I should I tack on a paragraph describing what the black guy did wrong to all my posts, even if its obvious to everyone who saw the video and not relevant to the point I'm making. Would that satisfy you? I was not comparing Bill to the black guy.
i dont think the white guy did nothing wrong. he was just as guilty as far as the verbal aspect of it went. they both come off looking like idiots - everyone gets into altercations w/ jackasses like that and most people have the sense to just walk away. but everything changes when it becomes a physical altercation and the black guy was the one who did the assaulting. EBG got up and went to the front (diffused the situation) and the black guy continued to verbally abuse him so EBG verbally came back at him - the black guy got up and came to the front of the bus and punched him, which led to EBG giving him a beat-down. EBG was clearly not looking for a physical fight b/c if he was he could have had it at the back of the bus. and since EBG didnt get arrested and the other guy did i think its safe to say that the law disagrees w/ your take.
Suppose you were Bill's friend in my previous analogy and it was your watch that got stolen. Would you not be angry with Bill? Would you not be up front: "Hey, you shouldn't have been walking around with my watch like that." Let's say Bill delivers this gem of a response: "Yeah, well, the law doesn't agree with your take because I wasn't arrested." I do wonder what you would say to that.
That's referring to EBM, right? The old guy went to prison after Vietnam, and used to sell drugs and pimp prostitutes. And the black guy is a convicted murderer who was out on parole. What a strange story this is.
The old guy was arrested, there was a followup video. I presumed though that was for disturbing the peace as he was ranting and raving outside of the bus for several minutes.
This guy is certified insane. I read somewhere he was off his medications during the whole incident, was he off them here too?
Not only that but EDM claims that the black guy had a knife on him. I didn't see one, but might explain why he went postal in the after incident video, him being a Vietnam vet mixed he him believing it was a life/death situation
Dude must not have a computer, because I remember the incident better than he does. His claim that he was sucker punched in the jaw 3 times is an outright lie...or just part of him being delusional.
im totally lost on how this analogy has anything to do w/ the bus fight. its two totally different and unrelated scenarios. i guess i would be upset w/ bill for walking down a shady area of town flashing my watch around and he clearly did not exercise good judgment by doing so, but being an idiot like that doesnt mean you deserve to be robbed. i dont think bill should be arrested for getting robbed either, if thats what you are asking. and i dont understand how that relates to the bus fight. its a very weak analogy, imo.
Lets not forget a funeral on Friday, but in the interview its not Wednesday? Plus where was his white friend but in the video?
