LOL to anyone who thinks Ariza wasn't trying to intentionally hit him I'm a Rockets fan. I'm an Ariza fan. But that was a dirty play and deserves a suspension. He just let the emotions get the best of him
Very classless display of frustration on Trevor Ariza's part. Shall we include him in a trade for Marcin Gortat?
Yeah, trade him, burn him!! jk... lol at all the people who jump on his ass and want to trade him for this. This happens all the time, and yeah, he deserves to be suspended for it, but after that who cares? if this type of this is a regular occurance then we should look at options, but until then, an isolated incident is nothing.

I know most of everyone here on clutchfans has been saying that Ariza needs to calm down. He had a bad frustrating game and I feel him. I mean you never know what the rookie has been saying or doing to Ariza the whole game for him to throw his elbow. Hopefully the suspension isn't severe and he can come back soon. We are too thin to lose another player.
That's not an exception to what I'm saying. That actually the rule. Peeler threw that elbow to intentionally hit Garnett, just as Trevor intentionally threw his elbow yesterday. When I said in frustration, I didn't mean with the intent of hitting someone. People regularly swing their fists in frustration when they don't get a foul call, for example. They don't throw their elbows lol.
Ariza lunged forward, put a little hip into that elbow. About swung his whole body off balance out of bounds. He didnt go in the air with it. It doesnt quite look like Ariza's looking at his head the whole way. About the only thing that can marginalize the elbowing. Still it it was unintentional-intention. Too close to injury to someone to allow to do.
Doesn't really seem like a big deal to me. He didn't hit anyone or go after anyone. The ball was taken from him, so to me it looked more like a swipe at the ball but the ball was gone, he realized that and pulled his hand in. If you pull your hand across your body your elbows naturally come out. Really, think about it? Is that a situation were you would hit someone? While they're taking off the other direction? Or do you just wait for them to come back down the court and get him on the next play? Has he admitted to it or given any reason? Too me he was frustrated but still going for the ball and realized it was gone, pulling his hand back in. Anyways maybe a one game suspension.
Yeah, the play was dirty but what do pitcher's do when a batter crowds the plate? I like him sending that message though even though it may have cost us that game and him being suspended.
