If there is one problem with the D-League, it’s that teams have to deal with their best players being sent up and down whenever their NBA owners see it necessary. It becomes an even bigger problem when you play for a team like the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, because the Rockets make good use of them by seeing it as a place for their young players to develop.

This season, the Vipers have had a lot of help from Donatas Motiejunas, Terrence Jones and Greg Smith. The bad news is that it looks like those three have found themselves a home in downtown Houston and the likelihood of them being sent back down to the Vipers anytime soon is not looking too good.
