Deke was always called for it post mid 2000s. But it was not intentional. Love was going to go back up strong for a dunk and most humans tend to put their arms down to add momentum going up. And Love should please consider coming here... We need a guy like that.

What Kevin Love did happens in every NBA game! Most of the times, you don't have a 5'10 PG there to take the hit for it. If you're saying Love intentionally flailed his arms to embellish the hack, that's one thing. If you're saying Love intentionally raked Brooks across the face, that's ridiculous.

    LOL.

If Brooks is flashing gang signs, then I suspect its a joke on his part.

Wait, an agenda you say? NO way! ;)

AB/KM backcourt is weak defensively: KEVIN MARTIN IS FOOLS GOLD

Kyle Lowry outplaying Brooks: LOWRY IS A CAREER BACKUP

Morey doesn't make the EXCEPTION to extend Brooks since every other player he has not extended seemed fine with it: FAIL MOREY FLAWED STRATEGY

I don't know about you guys, but the only thing flawed I see are the fraud arguments put up to perpetuate one's agenda. Arguments that are crashing down left and right. If I were the one coming up with that kind of horse manure, I'd just save the embarrassment and bandwidth and ban myself.

That's the guy that is a "neutral player" in his impact on the game (insert some sort of mild "roll eyes" here), according to DD. You're a great guy, DD, but there are times that you glom onto a player to such a degree that your objectivity goes out the window and flies around Kiker Elementary School, before diving into the pool half a block down the street. ;-)-

The hit by Love obviously was not intentional. After getting hacked by Brooks, he's off-balance falling slightly forward.

I also don't understand the praise for Brooks, even if it was intentional. As far as retaliations go, throwing the ball ineffectually at someone isn't very strong. If you want to see Brooks stand up for himself, he at least could have gotten into a shoving match.

But, I don't think Love hit him intentionally and I don't think Brooks was really retaliating either. Brooks seems to have acted out of frustration and did something dumb and got tossed. All is right with the world.

I've gone back and looked at it several times. AB wasn't even standing directly under Love. Love threw his arms forward and basically had to reach to hit AB. If Love had any lift on that jump(which he didn't) and was coming down with his arms out, then different story. Agree to disagree I guess.

Like I said AB's frustrations got the best of him and I don't agree with the way he conducted himself.

Can't even tell if there are any fingers down. His right hand is obscured by his head and his left hand is seen in profile. Not that it matters; I'm about a 100000005% sure Brooks was not throwing gang signs.

Yea, he actually started throwing them up even before that when he was starting to walk to the bench, but that was the clearest shot. Again, I know what a L sign is, but never heard of a "win" sign before.

If you think Love purposely hit Aaron Brooks in the face, what do you make of Love's reaction after the fact? Is he a dirty player who tried to act innocent to get away with it? If so, why hasn't anyone else in the league called into question his dirty tactics?

Or is it more likely he was genuinely remorseful because he didn't intend to hit Brooks in the face, as I've argued?

After seeing the .gif on this page, I actually think it doesn't look as bad as originally described. He doesn't appear to be flashing a gang sign -- he's not staring at anyone in the crowd, has both hands raised, and isn't even doing the "Westside" sign the right way.

"Aaron Brooks flashes the Westside sign after getting into it with Kevin Love" --- myth busted.

Sorry if some people don't like Aaron Brooks. But trying to rationalize that dislike to yourselves by pretending he's throwing gang signs is just sad.

He was not throwing gang signs at all.

Look at Brooks entire career. This incident is out of character for him. It's not like he does things like this all the time. It isn't excusable but it's also not like he's a thug and guy of low character. It's a an anomaly that happened one time.

This is being blown so out of proportion it's just silly.

I never thought he threw a gang sign. Are there even gangs in Seattle?

He is childish and petty by throwing the "Win" and if you look, while sitting down he throws an "L" to the fans. He sucked the whole game and didn't contribute to the win at all and he Gloats? Classy.

It just shows the ego that is getting out of hand.
