Oh yeah, she deserved it. The cop was right for this one. I thought he just tasered her for heck of it so he won't have to deal with her anymore. I didn't realize that it was a busy highway. Thanks for the link! EDIT:You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to SwoLy-D again. Thanks Duncan Donuts!
i was checking scroll bar, timestamps, for extra swoly smiley faces to show that he reposted after the first double post... but nothing!
I'd Say around the time Cops stopped being human and humane and turned into a bunch of power tripping a-holes Cops don't feel they are the Law they feel they are ABOVE AND BEYOND THE LAW Nope. No court is going to take you word against a cop. look at the Rodney King Verdict. and that is if it even gets to court Cop pulling you over does NOT remove ALL YOUR RIGHTS and make you subservient to the officer. Maybe Ponch should have called for backup. What happens if she doesn't sign the ticket? Does Ms. Capone jump back in her car and head for Mexico??? Why did he not 'defuse' the situation. Reach in the car. Remove the keys. Call for backup. Tasing her and then shackling her was EASIER and FASTER So. . . . if he didn't have the taser . . and then just shot her .. .say in the leg . . would that be ok too? People die from TASING . . .he put her in MORE danger. . now she on the side of the road AND tased. Is a Cop's life more important than anyone else's? Service? As in 'To Serve Us'? If that what the Cop Good Book says .. . I only have one thing to say on it. . . . ITS A COOKBOOK . . ITS A COOKBOOK!! Rocket River
No offense, RR, but your posts reek of bias in this subject. I trust your opinion usually, and you do make thoughtful posts, but something stinks when it comes to you and the cops... stinks bad.. like a swoly double post
It seems to me you guys would be claiming brutality if he had physically subdued her, too. No win. When I was a teen growing up in Houston during the 70's you learned early on that jacking with a cop was not a good idea. Google Jose Campos Torres to know what I'm talking about. I'm a pretty liberal guy but my sense of civil liberty didn't overrule my common sense of irritating someone with a gun and a club (now a taser). It was "yes sir" or "no sir" or your ass. I know this wasn't Houston, but the lady should have known better.
I don't deny it. My 1st experience with HPD was getting thrown in the back of a police car at age of 15 for talking to my friend in front of the store Where HE WORKED. On his break. They were overly rude and overly offensive. The whole neighborhood got to see me in a squad car. My Mom got to see me in a Squad car 45 minutes later I am 'released back into the wild' One of the single most embarrassing moments of my life and . . .my experiences with the HPD has gone down hill from there then again . . i guess I 'fit the profile' and that makes it ok. so .. yea. . . I seriously don't like cops That being said. I cannot for the life of me think of a good reason to tase a 72 yr old woman. She was hostile. . . she was combative. . . h*ll she was a b*tch but she is a 72 yr old woman. Ya'll talk about RESPECT THE COPS what happened to RESPECT THE ELDERLY? The cop was in danger?? Sorry but that is the job description HER SAFETY IS SUPPOSE TO BE HIS PRIORITY not his own . . . . that is the JOB PUBLIC SAFETY Rocket River
That's what happen when you allow a fat, lazy and out of shape cops in the services. Not only that, this guy didn't know how to handle the situation in the first place.
