So... eh, cops should define what "Elderly" means? You mean they should decide whom to taser AFTER they see the license only? You mean to say there are NO strong ELDERLY people?
I didn't realize it was a law to be friendly to cops. Can you please show me the Texas Law where it states " You Must Be Friendly to a Cop, and never be rude"?
After being pushed I believe she said something like "Ok, fine give the damn thing and I'll sign it."
Keep trying to justify it. And if you think that Elderly woman is strong at 72, you need to slap yourself.
Where did he say it was a law? He's saying if you don't want to get treated like a douche don't act like one.
I saw her say, shortly after the push back, "I'm leaving" and try to walk around him. I figure that was following her "acceptance" to sign the ticket.
So if wherever you work, a customer comes in and is rude to you, you're going to deal with them with a smile. Please!! I treat people how I want them to treat me back.
You are hilarious man, you are in the severe minority here, yet you keep acting as if you are the judge and jury in this case. Keep trying to justify it yourself, you need to... a lot better than you're currently doing.
Maybe if cops wouldn't taser 72 year old women, they wouldn't have to worry about people acting like a douche towards them.
If someone was being rude.. I sure as hell wouldn't pull out a taser gun and give them a quick zap. Especially against a 72 year old rude woman. If wherever you work, a customer comes in and is rude to you, you're going to deal with them with a taser gun?
Some of you guys need to watch the video again: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BxhYaUjZUI0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BxhYaUjZUI0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> I don't hear her saying anything about wanting to sign the ticket. It's also funny that when the news reporter said she had a copy of the video, the old lady wouldn't even answer her door... I love that they called her out on this. BTW, the news reporter is hot.
And we can flip it around. Maybe if a 72 year old woman acted like a 72 year old woman, none of this would have happen. What's your point? I don't get how you are defending the woman just because she is 72. She apparently thought she could get away with it since she was 72.
If you can not get a 72 year old woman in cuffs and in the back of your patrol car then you are not in good enough physical condition to be a police officer.
Not trying to justify anything, resident of the state of Texas. Now you're taking it a different route, sir. Now you're talking about "who's strong" and "who is 72". Which one is it? Should we ask NON-LAW-ABIDING aholes to demonstrate how "strong" they are before an officer can taser them, or just how "OLD" they are? First you say "not 72-year-olds", and then you say "not strong enough." Would your 72-year-old weak relative be an idiot to all police officers? I guarantee you mine wouldn't and as far as I can see from your responses, I bet YOU would at 72. He wasn't arresting her for "not being friendly with an officer" but for "failure to comply with an officer". You take all orders and comply. Else, you get tasered, whether you're 100, 5, 20 or ILoveTheRockets' age.
I have to admit...IloveRockets has clearly shown superior reasoning. I'm on team Iloverockets. My thought process was the following. Me: The woman was in the wrong. Iloverockets: Dude, she is a 72 year old woman! Me: She was clearly warned and resisted arrest. Iloverockets: Dude, she is a 72 year old woman! Me: This only escalated because of her and not following rules, coupled with outright defiance of the law Iloverockets: Dude, she is a 72 year old woman! Me: well if you put it like that. you're right! well played sir
Man are you serious? The situation differs from your occupation. My point was to say, treat people how you wanted to be treated. Not zapping them with a taser gun.
