    I agree it is what any NBA player would say but most would not go out of their way to make a stupid video to proclaim how happy they are to remain on the team. This is what makes it stupid.

    That's why they have twitter. Plus Gasol's never been media savy, and him doing a whole video seems kinda excessive to me. If you've watched his recent play you'll agree w/ me that he was not focused on the game, and was proabably sweating balls (if he had any) about the possibility of getting traded.

    Not overreacting, just finding this humorous

    Stupid? I dunno man, with everyone wanting to leave their franchise I think its awesome to see players express how happy they are in their current situation. Gasol is a class act, and despite people calling him soft he won 2 rings and carried a terrible grizzlies team to the playoffs for several years straight.

    So glad we didn't trade for him, you should read the reactions from guys @ realgm. They talk about how loyal he is, that this shows commitment and what not. It's not rocket science that when you play for a team with arguably the best player, in the biggest market, where most money can be made, you do not want to leave. Nothing loyal about that.
