Rockets are in position to have Twin Twigs.

If the Rockets added those two guys to Green/Sengun/Christopher/Garuba/Martin with health permitting they could maybe beat the Warriors record for wins.

The huge .00003% chance that happening is nice to think about lol

I was waiting for someone to post this clip. I see Durant is a proponent of more 6'9" players... the Rockets were ahead of their time. :D

Porzingis can do it. I think they're both 7'3. Still, Wembanyama's got a much bigger wingspan.

Holmgren has done it before... but he is an inch to an inch and a half shorter.... Wembanyama is entering that scary height size, he is at least 7'3" and has a wingspan approaching 8'0".... if he stays healthy he can be a monster.

It’s starting to feel like his middle range outcome is Rudy Gobert with offensive skill, which is...scary. As you said, low range outcome he’s just hindered by injuries his whole career.

Rockets need to tank next year for a 14% chance at this guy.

getting him would be a major plus, he has some flaws but you don’t teach his size and length. He has close to an 8 foot wingspan and has good hang time as a jumper… plus he can shoot and is coordinated.

Victor Wembanyama may be the best basketball prospect ever. I dont understand it honestly. When I watch him play it doesnt really make sense. Its like a surreal feeling of watching a video game character come to life.

Realistically there may be only incremental improvement with a team so young anyway. I think the ROX will find themselves in the hunt. If they somehow land this guy its dynasty time.

    Of course.

We have 50 million dollars of dead salary.

A couple of super raw draftees which will immediately be dropped into the rotation.

What's left is too ship off Wood and Gordon for assets.

And to spend less time on scouting / preparing for individual opponents, and more time on developing good habits / skills.

Yes. I'd trade the number 5 pick to a lotto team for an extra shot next year tbh.

If Durant had a injury you would get %’s for that as well. No way they make the playoffs without him on the team.

I still can't wrap my mind around this prospect. Feels like the best prospect since Lebron. Hopefully he can stay injury free

He's already had some injuries the past couple of years. I think he had a broken finger this year, a stress fracture in his leg a year or two ago, and a shoulder issue this year. The stress fracture is the one that worried me, but contrary to popular belief, I'm not a doctor.
