The odds don’t change as long as the same system is in place. There is no statistical correlation from year to year. We could go another 20 years without the worst team getting the first pick or it could happen back to back. People play the same numbers over and over in the lottery thinking it improves their odds. Since it’s a new drawing each time the odds change only on the number of entrants. In the case of the NBA lottery, the odds do not change unless you add more teams to the lottery or change the rules.
No need to get all technical lol. Im basically saying that it’s rigged and the worst team is due to pick first
Why do you post this redneck idjut with his 187 followers like he's some kinda source or justification for anything?
buddy the entire universe is following the truth...youre looking at the wrong counter entire this time
Look at the last 20 drafts. Why would so many go to small markets. If it was rigged why would Orlando, Minnesota, Charlotte, Cleveland, etc. get the no. 1 picks. Was it rigged when the Rockets got Yao? The Knicks getting Ewing was rigged and the nba got caught. Since then it has been legitimate.
LeBron to Cleveland.. when the pelicans lost AD, they ended up with the first pick, despite having the 7th best odds!
I get your Lebron take, but why give a sh*t about New Orleans? They are a small market team (as is Cleveland) that I’m sure the NBA would be thrilled to move to Las Vegas or Seattle. The NBA owners will not let this be rigged. Lawsuits would be filed like crazy. It is a really stupid conspiracy theory.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, I just feel like some fishy **** be going on. More than likely, you’re correct bc of the consequences
Was that Lebron? When a generational talent comes around (Yao, Ewing, Jabbar, Duncan etc) you bet the no. 1 pick is important. I don’t know if Victor is in that class, but a whole lot of people think he is the best prospect since Lebron. We tanked because we had very little chance of competing this year, so why not? It is the best strategy. Hell, even the Spurs with Pop are tanking.
yes details matter thats my take in fact!...because for wemby worshippers details dont matter such as hes is putting worse stats than alpi put in a tougher league post achilees durant posted better stats than preachiles fat harden put godly stats on the nets and everybody praised him for how he was a changed player, he actually contributed more for that team than durant and kyrie you think wemby wont get injured or out of shape like harden? you think he will be in top shape always look at his physique, chet got injured for a year just by playing a summer league you think he or his teammates wont have kyrieesque chemistry problems or other weird problems? wemby worshippers just love to jump to conclusions
Yao is not a generational talent (maybe on draft night people thought he'd be). And the NBA definitely has shown signs of manipulation when it needed to. If the worst team in the league continues to not get the #1 pick year-in-and-year-out they will have to change the rules of the draft as it rewards better teams with a chance to be better and keeps the worst teams on the bottom (something they don't want). The NBA needs parity. Much like baseball when lower market teams finally started winning (KC, TB, etc), it helps the game. What they should do is limit the amount of times a team can pick a high draft pick in consecutive seasons and not kill it for every other team. No team can pick the #1 pick two years in a row. If they are the worst team the second year they get the #2. If they continue to be the worst team then they get the #3 pick. I can be behind a format like this to allow other teams to have chances without killing it. Maybe even have a stipulation that if you won 50+ games the previous season you can't get the #1 or #2 picks the next season to avoid good teams tanking on purpose due to a season injury to a key player.
Why does it matter if someone didn't predict an event from a decade ago in basing their opinion on something happening now? No one hits 1.000 in predicting greatness.
