i don't see the nets in the lottery if Durant is healthy. They will continue to get better as the season progresses.
I'm really excited to see the Giannis/Wemby battles. I'd imagine Giannis gets the best of him first year or two but eventually Wemby takes the torch. NBA doesn't really have a face of the league right now so it's up for grabs.
I want to see improvement, but emotions aside, logically and mathematically I think I'm starting to move here, we have an 85% chance at a top 4 pick right now with ours and combined with Brooklyn's pick per Tankathon. Wemby and Scoot are 50/50 with the next two prospects. https://www.tankathon.com/
Laker pick does go to NOP, but when I just ran the simulator, the Warriors ended up w the top pick, so that is much worse.
I have great news! We already have another lottery pick and he is playing right now. No need to wait for Wembayama
If we draft him he will turn into Yao, constantly plagued by injury issues eventually resulting in an early retirement. If someone else drafts him, he will turn into KD with LBJ longevity and impact. Such is the fate of the Houston Rockets.
Sad but true... not only that, I don't want to get my hopes up only for us to get the 3rd or 4th pick or something... there is no way I'm going to pay attention to tankathon odds this year whatsoever.
It’s obvious Rockets are tanking likely coveting the top 3 guys. A. No vet presence on team B. Experimental lineups with no consistency C. Not playing JC D. Continuing KPJ experiment Rockets aren’t playing to win and not expecting to. I am excited about the possibility of getting Wemb!
This is a deeper draft and exactly the kind the Rockets needs as many SF/SG guys with length in it. The thompson twins, Nick Smith, Scoot, Wemb, Miller all great perspects. Rockets can still get a very good player in the top 5.
Breaking News: New Orleans trades the Lakers draft rights back for Anthony Davis...just because someone always has to help the Lakers. Breaking News: Anthony Davis out for season with paper cut on shooting hand. Breaking News: Multiple sauces tell me the Lakers are trying(edit: going) to get the #2 pick and prospect Scoot Henderson to pair with the #1 pick Victor Wembenyama. Sauces tell me the Lakers have nothing to offer, but a whole **** ton of dirt on rival GM's and deal sweeteners unrelated to basketball for rival owners. Expect a deal to be inevitable.
