I think the thing here is that the rockets hope to turn oladipo into AG, but oladipo wants Miami and rockets trade guys to their preferred destinations. so what does Miami have that Orlando would take for AG?
I’m not a big fan of the type of players Stone chases. first Dipo now Gordon. I’m really starting to wonder rid he could build a competent team. Only reason I don’t completely like Gordon is because he’s at least average to above average heist ht for his positions( sf and pf) but other than that dude is great at nothin. He’s not a great floor stretch based on his career but we’re going to forced him To shot 5 threes a game at a below average clip. I rather go after the heat package
You are getting the hang of it. I agree Dipo is an important cog in a contenders playoff run. Surely any GM will be rewarded handsomely for trading for him and signing an extension to secure future championships for their great cities.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Oladipo looking fluid out there in this game. I think his trade value will certainly go up if he can continue to play like this. I think some teams might be considering to take a chance with him in a playoff run. I believe the Knicks will pursue him.
It really doesn't matter if the Rockets can get a good return for him. I still doubt if he can be moved for that.
Maybe, but I thought he played well and within the team's flow. Only one really ill advised shot (long 3) and he'd hit a similar shot earlier.
I just don't see the Heat giving up Herro for Dipo. Though he would be a perfect fit next to KPJ. Cade is tall enough to be a point forward with him and KPJ trading playmaking duties. Wood Tate Cade Herro KPJ I think that roster can grow to be a contender. Anyways, too many what ifs for that roster to occur so I'm not betting on it happening but that is my dream roster as of right now for this team.
We remove Miami completely...for now. Houston gets: Aaron Gordon, Gary Clark Brooklyn gets: PJ Tucker, Kenyon Martin Jr. Orlando gets: Spencer Dinwiddle, Danuel House, Dante Exum's expiring, and the 1st pick we got from the Westbrook trade. Dinwiddie becomes insurance if/when Fournier leaves via free agency in the summer or, at worst, becomes their 6th man if Fournier re-signs. House goes back to his favorite city to continue his dumbassery during his time in the bubble. Brooklyn gets the front court player they need in Tucker and another high flyer for Harden to throw lobs to in Martin.
Conspiracy theory: Rockets saw him playing well in practice before he played well in games, thus the contract extension offer. Now it's too late, everyone wants to pay him $30 mil/year! Everyone.
Gsw will be pretty good next year and him as a primary defensive specialist to give klay a break along with 3rd offensive option will be pretty good. I would take steph aka can't lead a team by himself, off there hands for him.
As long as during this next week he doesn't end up on the U.S.S. Keith Jones. Hits an iceberg, sinks toward the bow, goes ass-up like a drunk girl on prom night, splits in two as it sinks into the icy depths.
