First of all, why isn't Pence in quarantine? He shouldn't be around anyone right now. People in his circle are still testing positive days later. Harris should demand it be on zoom or cancel. Who knows how many more innocent people will be infected from this whole bunch of reckless selfish Maskless morons. They don't care about anyone but themselves. They have made that crystal clear already! Health experts call for the vice presidential debate to be canceled or made virtual Pence has been exposed to several infected individuals, including President Donald Trump himself, who announced he’d tested positive for the coronavirus early Friday morning. Since Trump’s diagnosis, the vice president has been tested regularly, returning negative results each time. Nevertheless, public health experts have warned it would be astonishingly risky for him to participate in the upcoming in-person debate, which is set to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah. Rochelle Walensky, an infectious disease expert at Harvard University, told the New York Times that “there is no way under the sun that Pence should be anywhere but in his home. He was sitting in a sea of people with [Covid-19].” A negative test does not necessarily mean someone does not have Covid-19 because the amount of virus in an infected person can take time to reach detectable levels. And one’s status can change rapidly. For instance, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany had tested negative every day since Thursday, but announced on Monday that she had tested positive. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-poli...rts-vice-presidential-debate-canceled-virtual Why is Mike Pence not quarantining? Pastor who joined Mike Pence at ‘Prayer March’ has COVID-19 By Steven Nelson October 5, 2020 | 3:25pm https://nypost.com/2020/10/05/pastor-who-joined-mike-pence-at-prayer-march-has-covid-19/ Pence needs to be in quarantine!!!
Ok this is stupid. If a test comes back negative and has COVID, he is not going to be very infectious. This is the whole premise behind wearing masks and social distancing. If someone has been around a positive person and can't get a rapid test, they should quarantine. None of this has changed since the beginning. And if Harris is afraid, she has the right to cancel.
It really isn't. By this logic, if you go into Walmart or Home Depot, everyone should probably quarantine.
That's not the CDC guidelines for quarantining. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/quarantine.html When to start and end quarantine You should stay home for 14 days after your last contact with a person who has COVID-19. For all of the following scenarios, even if you test negative for COVID-19 or feel healthy, you should stay home (quarantine) since symptoms may appear 2 to 14 days after exposure to the virus.
Its sad, that after all these months people still don't get this. These are basic guidelines for keeping everyone other than yourself safe people! This is exactly what's wrong with our current administration. They DO NOT lead by example. They confuse people. This is why Pence is a selfish jerk, and the White House administration led by Trump needs to be voted out! There is absolutely no reason for Pence NOT to be in quarantine!
The debates should have been virtual from the start. I don’t care about alleged negative tests. You can test negative and then test positive. And, frankly, this administration’s track record shows that they cannot be trusted on health matters. There is no good reason not to make the debates virtual.
