Honestly I do not get what is wrong and I stand by what I said.
I like history and I am not a new world slavery denier or whatever..but all our ancestors were until recently what we would call now beasts.
Why do you feel shame about one thing and refuse to be ashamed about the other myriad of crimes they did?

In fact why not all men feel automatically shame all the time about the crimes their ancestors commited against women for millenia?
You are men like they were, as you are white like the slave owners were. And the crimes against women lasted 10 times more than slavery in America.

I dont see anyone apologising to me or feel ashamed that they are men.

It's not about being ashamed. It's like @JayGoogle has said. The African slave trade along with its effects like Jim Crow are very unique and the consequences of those things are strongly felt today.

 

I get this. The consequences and racism today are real.

But what I say is that there is no logic imo that a white person to be particularly ashamed of their colour as long as they themselves are not racists and are doing whatever they can to make the society a better place.

I have the same questions to my german friends who are burdened with nation wide guilt for what their grandfathers did..but they themselves are innocent and more than that..they havent forgotten their past. They make sure they educate every child about their history. They have recognised the mistakes their ancestors did.

And my family was a victim of their grandfather's actions straight up and I still dont understand that shame.

So I dont think I am saying something that wrong to have this question.

 

Most of this stuff, you can survive if you sincerely apologize and humble yourself a little.

I would say there is a surprising amount of Americans that buy into to the "Jewish families own global finance" conspiracies unfortunately.

 

I’m not crying every night out of shame lol. I think women are the superior sex too because they’re far less violent and have more of a nurturing instinct towards offspring. I don’t hate being white or being a man though; it’s undeniably a more favorable position in the southern United States.

I lead a happy life; doesn’t mean I’m not disappointed my ancestors didn’t attempt to be more harmonious with women and minorities. In the history of the US, white men have behaved the worst out of any group. My privilege allows me to call out other white men to get off their high horse and accept others; allow minorities to vent their frustration, etc.
