I know he's retired but could we get the polish hammer to come in and back up cousins ? I feel like his personality is a clubhouse fit , plus hes only 37 !

While the Polish hammer is likely done it did make me think of players that would likely sign for a Vet min contract/possibly unguaranteed. Guys like Gortat, Joakim Noah, Marreese Speights, Demarre Carrol, and our hero Luc Mbah a Moute. I am sure there are others like this. I would probably prefer younger players with higher upside but those types of players are likely not signing for an unguaranteed vet min contract. I assume a guy like Ilyasova won't sign for unguaranteed vet min. Sounds like the roster may be set for now until later in the season. Will need a roster spot open for buyouts or the guys I just mentioned that can add depth and will likely still be available mid-season. Also, don't want to get in a situation where we have to decide between an old vet and someone like Queen, Jones, etc. Morey waived too many young talented players for old washed vets IMO so I am not for that but there is something to be said for having those old washed vets on your roster that help complete and round out a locker room.

    Still available.

But is it because he has no value or because he wants more than vet min?

I'm sure he's in no hurry for a cheap payday.

    Yep.

But he is being signed by Jazz so there is still hope that Jazz release him in 3 months.

    Like Jeff Green.

    An option for sure.

    Still prefer Bolden over Vonleh.

Bolden is better ball handler/passer and his analytics profile is perfect for Rockets system.

True, but Vonleh plays with greater discipline. I still would avoid Vonleh because of Covid, even after he has a negative test.

Sure, but Vonleh's upside is what it is.

And while Bolden has off court issues, what he does provide ON the court fits the Rockets system to a "T".

Bolden could break out in right system and/or right role, like Wood did.

I will take Bolden if he is fit and willing to play.

Which of the other young guys should be dropped off in addition to Clemons?

I'm not particularly attached to any of them.

Although KJ was a significant investment for the Rockets, acquired via a purchased SRP.

And I think BT and Queen have the best defensive upside, they are the 3-D prototypes.

Mason Jones could be a Harden lite scorer, he patterned his game after the Beard's that is obvious.

Jerian Grant is nothing special either.
