This is ridiculous. Judging by some of the logic I've seen here, the Spurs and Lakers will also miss the playoffs. They have both played a couple of ****ty games, and don't look like playoff teams right now.

THAT IS WHY THEY PLAY 82 GAMES!!!

No team is ready for the playoffs right now! It was the first game of the season!

You're completely right. We all expected the kind of posts we've seen today after last night's performance. And it was just painful to watch. Every worst-case scenario happened for me and it started when I first learned about our starting line-up here. Just a painful night with no news that wasn't bad, except that no one was injured.

Today everything still looks like it did to me the day before yesterday - the Rockets need time, and with MoT, KT and Rice out we lost serious production and depth. I no this is a no excuses year, but this team is a very talented mess at the moment and most of us know that. Indiana is not a team I wince at losing to on the road especially with a small line-up (unlike some others I guess). Lopez' article in the Chron. today also applies to the entire team for all of this season - it's all going to come down to how they react to the inevitable bad (and good) performances they'll have. Most of us think the Rockets can be contenders in a couple of years, and that process starts now. Anyone miss the off-season? :)
