I agree 100%. No way Webber settles for that. Hopefully that brings Houston to the front of the class for Webber. Dream has shown us how leathel a true low post game mixed with our current back court would be. The Rockets would be contenders with CWebb. ------------------ [This message has been edited by crash5179 (edited February 11, 2001).]
As far as the nightlife goes, Houston isn't completly dead. Also Houston is the home of many NBA players. Who's to say that CWebb wouldn't want some off season comp at the West Side Tennis Club over the summer. There are a lot of little factors that can help him where a Rockets jersey. 1. His favorite backcourt is Steve and Cuttino 2. Rudy is a player's coach and went to the same college as Webber. 3. He said he has family here that are trying to convince him to come here. 4.The new arena 5. Possibly being the piece this team needs to be a title contender (especially if The Dream stays) 6. Partying on Richmond after winning a ring!!! ------------------
No but Camby and Houston would satisfy the Kings and that is what they are talking about on WFAN in NY these days. ------------------
Ok this really bugs me. I will NEVER understand why people think so highly of Marcus Camby?!?! This guy is one of the most OVERRATED players I have seen in a long time. I don't post much but some might remember I was the guy who said Carlos Rogers was Marcus Camby without the NY hype machine. Marcus Camby is a GOOD role player, thats it, he is no superstar and quite frankly he never will be. NY has two atractive players in Sprewell and Houston, NY will not give up Spree and Allan's stock is on the steady decline. Would Sacramento do a trade with NY if it hurts it more? I don't think so. If Webber were to be signed and traded the most likely team would be Orlando. They have a vast amount of draft picks and more variety when it comes to cap friendly trade variables. Now this is not to say Webber won't just sign for the minimum with NY, but why he would do that would be a mystery to me. ------------------ "We need to fockass".....Dream back in the day
Allan Houston is an ALL-Star doing a lot for the Knicks this year. I don't think his stock is declining. As for Camby, I'm not a Camby fan either. However, he is young and talented and WAYYYYYY better than Carlos Rogers. Give the guy some credit. Personally, I could care less what the Knicks do but Webber in New York is still a better bet than Webber in Houston right now. ------------------
I agree Houston is an all-star as to state otherwise would be lying, BUT his value is declining. I base this from what I hear outside of the NY area. I live in the Bay Area and although I have watched only a handfull of Knicks games this year I have seen a lot of Houston, and in my opinion his best year was his last with Detroit. As far as Camby I do not think he is better than Rogers. When Rogers is on the court he produces. Camby is a weak one on one defender as is 'Los. Rogers is actualy a better rebounder and both of their offenses are based on picking up the garbage and or dunking. I don't question your judgement just you live in the NY area and have had the New York media influence you a little. Just my opinion. ------------------ "We need to fockass".....Dream back in the day
