I'm an extreem novice at video games - the only reason that I even bought a PS3 was because the guy at Sam's Club said that for only $60 more I could have a PS3 (over a blu-ray player alone) and could then play play games.

I'm not a product of the Nitendo generation (born slightly before then) but figured WTH since I've got four kids and although I actually want them to go outside, I do want to spend time with them on their terms - since after all this is a different generation.

All right, after my brief introduction (revealing my shortcomings) I decided to rent NFL '08. I picked my favorite team "Da Bears" and choose to receive. I did OK during the run back and the first couple of offensive plays, but when it was time to punt I couldn't figure out how to kick the damn ball. I got a delay of game (I'm not kidding 6 times in a row!). Finally I just shut it off.

I tried every button at least 3 times and still can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Pull the right analog stick (joystick) back, then when it hits its peak, press the stick forward.
