sundays is free, but since that park in front of the GRB opened up, it has been so damn crowded. It's a pretty nice sunday, so i'm sure people are out. i guess we can use the TC court as a backup today.
make that 3 cousins, so total, 4 ill be there round 630-7, waiting on my cousins to get here and then we're heading out
well everything was going fine until kam assaulted one of the young girls at the children's center*. now we can't play there any more. *the above statement does not at all misrepresent what happened.
We got kicked out again. Some of the kids were fighting and we broke it up. They should have let us play for breaking up that fight. That girl was going to put an ass beat down if we didn't stop it. I was scared we were going to get hit too. Before it all happened. Some cop showed up. I was kinda nervous. The cop didn't do anything. Then those girls started fighting. And then rent a cop came out. I don't think he really wanted to kick us out, but he had to do his job. We went to Spotts Park. It was too crowded. We went to Toyota Center. Too crowded, and too many residents of Root Memorial Park. We're going back to the Ice Rink. Now we need a new home.
yea, umm, didn't happen, thank goodness it was a the busy part of the day.. kinda sucks we got kicked out again, its funny the rent a cop thought we were with that group of girls that started the fight. Then noticed we didn't go in with them. weird part, while we were finishing off our first game, 2 more cop cars showed up and the rent a car cop came walking towards us. I was thinking "damn they really wanted us out of here", then noticed, moments later, a women handcuffed was escorted to the cop car, (not the same girl Kam and Adrian help break the fight up). It was kinda odd. Weirdest thing I've witness in awhile.
Ok. I remember Jeff talking about this maybe four years ago or so. But Love Park. I am looking at maps and i see that they have basketball courts. It's between W 12th, and W 13th. Just east of N Shephard/Durham. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=....40714&spn=0.008491,0.013218&t=h&z=16&iwloc=A We could also try Woodland Park. It is also in the Heights. Does this park area look familiar? It should. It was home of the famous Smeggy World Tour. heypartner got the inside of the gym, but they did have courts on the outside. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=....37107&spn=0.008492,0.013218&t=h&z=16&iwloc=A Any other suggestions?
emancipation park. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=...042,-95.369396&spn=0.016992,0.026436&t=h&z=15
Love seems like a good option. It looks like it has 2 separate courts, although they look more like 4 separate half courts rather than 2 full courts. I think that increases the chances that we could get one goal all to ourselves with little trouble. I didn't see a basketball court at Woodland, and Emancipation just looks like 1 regular half court and some side courts that overlap each other. Look at how they're painted. Seems annoying. So my vote is for Love. Then again I won't be ready to play for who knows how long anyway.
so ummmmm. No pick up game this weekend. I'll consider this a "bye week." or a DNP TNA Victory Road/We really don't have a park issued. It gives me a few extra days to rest my knees and ankles.
i picked up a TV stand and passed by the Cottage Grove Park and looked dead when I passed by it, was at about 3pm, so maybe new court to play at? It was suggested a few threads back, but thought it would be busy.
