We play tomorrow at like 5. The directions should still be on the front page. It's the DePelchin's (sp?) Children's Center. So the count is me, moes, Dave, with Kam a game-time decision.
i think i'll be down to play tomorrow at the usual 6, although i might regret it. the little toe on my right foot hurt before we played last time, but only if i actually pressed on it. then the morning after we played, nothing seemed to have changed until i put on my shoes for work and damn near fell down on my first step because of the pain of the shoe just slightly pressing on it when i walked. it's gotten better and i can seemingly run with no pain (back to only hurting if i actually hit it), but i'm not anxious to relive last monday morning.
People should not worry about sucking, we play pretty laid back basketball. Except for Kam. It gets kind of awkward when he starts throwing the ball in your face if you didn't check it right.
I'm definitely making it out there one of these days for sure. Do yall play at the Depelchin Children's Center on a regular basis or does it vary? I'm trying to give a friend on here the info.
We do now. We used to play at the other place, but the court was like Roland Garros. Plus, there were too many 8 year olds running around acting like fools. The only thing I will miss is the milfs. This place is not a covered court, so it can get hot.
No, this location is on Memorial. It's called the Depelchin Children's Center. I've got something to do at 6:30, so I'll be out there at 5.
If you go south on shepard, make a right on dickson, and then a left on the first street you come across. coming north on shephard/durham, make a left.you should see a shell gas station.
Anyone going to show up? It's raining over here, don't know how it is over there. Don't know whether to head over there or not.
Well... We finally got kicked out. Security Guard said somebody called him and told him to kick us out. Private Property yada yada yada. They've obviously known we've been there playing for the last month so I have to wonder if it had something to do with the court being wet and slippery today (i.e. liability issues)
its simple. 60-40 percent non whites to white. that is why we were kicked out. it sucks, but we can find a new place. hopefully.
Suckage. I knew it was too good to be true. So, were they dicks about it? Did you offer to make a donation to the center in exchange for the use of the court? Did you challenge the security guard to a game of 1 on 1, winner take all? Did you jump him?
That sucks. It will be painful to go back to Slippery Town if we can't find another good court to play.
