Sun doesn't start setting until 8 or so. We should be good for quite a while. It won't be too hot either, according to weather.com
Hell, until I moved to Texas I had never even heard of a "covered outdoor court" I grew up playing on slippery concrete or hard blacktop with ****ty rims and 15 MPH winds.
Agreed. Too bad I started hitting nothing but air a few games in :/ I wonder if anything other people use that court.... I'm tempted to check it out after work sometime this week.
I'm in no position to tell you or anyone else what to do, but if we really are "getting away" with playing there, it may be pressing our luck for any of us to use it during the week. Just my two cents.
Who are you to tell me what to do?? Kidding! I agree. I actually didn't think about that. Wouldn't want to ruin it for everyone else, that's for sure.
Or you guys could call the school and ask for permission, they probably would not mind. Maybe you offer to bring some extra nets or something.... DD
Definitely better than the previous court, even taking into account the heat. Sorry to skip out on you guys a little early. I didn't anticipate there being no water fountains, and I was seriously dehydrated there at the end. I had nothing left in the tank. Plus, it had been several weeks since I played, so my stamina was hurting anyway.
We had a bunch of gatorades there, you should have grabbed one like everybody else. Next week I'll bring another ice chest full of waters/gatorade like I was doing at our other spot until only 3-4 people were showing up. Maybe we can alternate those duties. Like Soccer Moms with Orange Slices and Hi-C.
Well, I almost asked Miguel to get me something when he went to Walgreens, but I didn't have any cash on me and I felt okay at the time. It wasn't until those last couple games that I really lost my energy. Luckily that was when CCR went all Kobe Bryant and so I didn't have to do much save for getting out of the way. Next time I'll bring some water, we don't have to bother with a refreshment rotation that will be kind of hard to keep up with since not everyone regularly shows up.
I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it this week and I know I won't be there next Sunday. I have some priorities to take care of Sunday and next weekend I'll be back in California visiting my family.
