parking in downtown is free on sundays.

    ive seen spotts park before.

there has been a pickup game there before one saturday. i couldnt make that one. it looks crowded.

you park at the ywca parking lot, and walk down that hill.

there are some young female hotties down there.

There is a place in the heights that we had a pickup game. infact, it was the smeggy world tour.

    heypartner rented out that place.

they have goals on the outside. not sure how busy it is though.

They won the championship last year? :D

Anyway, I was looking through some old posts and saw that (as Kam mentioned) there was a get together planned for Spotts Park once before (2003 I think). Omega has played there and says the rims are hard, and Kam says that it's slippery...although I'm not sure if his definition of slippery has changed after playing at our new spot.

I'll try and get around to checking it out this week.

You guys ever have one near Corpus Christi or Austin. I'm back and forth between the two towns every week or two.

I check out Spotts today at lunch and I wasn't pleased.

It has double rims and a surface that might be slightly better than the one we play on now. It's definitely not worth the switch.

the court isn't slippery and teh rims are fine. it's pretty empty on the weekends. not quite central though.

disclaimer: not responsible for white boys getting shot. ;)

I'd be fine with that. I've never gotten shot playing in the hood before, so hopefully I'll be ok.

I think people probably want to try the Y first, but I'll let them respond.

out of it today (prior obligation). looking forward to see if y'all do play at the y and how it turns out.

if y'all do play in the hood... kam has enough "street cred", so if anyone starts something he will "clap" on them and show them "what's good". :)

Did yall play today or were you proposing the new court for tomorrow? I'd just like to put in my endorsement for the court that macalu suggested (it's a good deal closer to me :)). If anyone is wanting to play tomorrow, I think I can join you.

I was under the impression that it was always set for tomorrow.

Anybody else planning on showing up?
