So I traded my G1 for an iPhone and it's better in pretty much every way. Only thing Android does better is they are open source and Apple is bad with that but my iPhone is jailbroken so it doesn't matter.

    Wow, that pic is hilarious!!!!

I recently boight the iPhone and I love it!!! The complaints here seem to be legit ones, but most of the folks I know don't care about half the stuff I'm reading about. Some folks, like me, just aren't that tech savvy.

The only complaints that impact me are the lack of the camera at night (and that is rare) and not being able to be in two apps at once...and that's only because I have to get out of whatever I'm in to change artists on the iPod piece. I will admit that their phone coverage sucks and drops calls all the time (I came over from Verizon), but I rarely actually talk on my phone.

Still wouldn't trade it for the world though....

^^^ Att is not able to counter Verizon's 3G coverage, Att postcard commercial does not mention 3G only coverage adding 2G network as well. Multitasking is not bad at all.

    AT&T's commercials are hilarious

really? instead of spending money to fix/improve your network, the marketing team thought

"Lets get that Wilson brother to do our commercials, not the one in rehab but the one that played the boyfriend in "My Super Ex-Girlfriend"!!!"

btw, I hear most people at Apple that use their iPhone, use the Verizon's Mifi as their data service because AT&T's 3g coverage sucks so much

Yeah first thing I noticed...I never heard or saw the phrase "3G."

Also I was yelling at the TV, "Finish the job and kill your brother." Based on the looks I received, I don't think anyone in the bar got the reference.

Ok I guess Ill through my .02 in.

Ive been on TMobile for over 6 years, had the G1 for over a year. Though I liked alot of stuff about the G1 in comparison to my friends iPhones, the one thing it really lacked was the the touchscreen. The iPhones screens response was so much more responsive and fluid. It really was quite embarrassing to the android G1. Add that to the hideous form factor of the G1 and it wiped clean any advantages I had placed it over the iPhone.

Then came the release of two phones. Though I direly wanted the Droid for all that it offers, upon actually picking it up I was truely appalled at the feel and the keyboard. It was just aweful. I can't imagine that people actully think this is an attractive phone. Its just bad to me. They keyboard has those tiny square buttons that are hard to press and way too close. When you add that with the horrendous pricing that is the Verizon network, I looked at option B.

So I went with the Hero.

    Android 2.0 coming soon
    A butter touch screen
    Multitasking
    Open Market
    Multitouch
5 MP camera (though no flash) with digital zoom and plenty of options to correct.
    Flash player

Though it lacks the droids raw processing power it is plenty strong enough and is an attractive device.

But the real nice part is the Sense UI android developed for this phone. I absolutely sets the tone in smartphone customization and feel. It destroys the iPhone.

Oh and I don't have to pay a dime to DL my music right to my phone. Download I Music or Online Music Lite from the app market and grab just about every song I could imagine for free. Then use Ring Droid, chop up the song into any part you want for a ringtone and smile all day long.

You OBVIOUSLY never had a jailbroken iphone. That is the best customization on any phone. And Sense UI doesnt "blow away" anything...but windows mobile....lol.

You obviously haven't touched a hero then. I've played with a thousand jailbroken iPhones, and sir its not even close.

damn how much do u use your phone? I browse on it like crazy, use the GPS at times, talk every so often, have 2 widgets that constantly update, and still get through the day without having to charge it.

Other phones like those Android phones don't need to be jailbroken. Anytime I hear something good about the iPhone, its always followed by "jailbreak". How is the phone out of the box? Which is how we should compare the phones. "Jailbreak" is not a perk. That is like saying the xbox360 is better than ps3 because it can be modified to play burned games.
