Ugh this is disappointing. The Libya actions we took were pretty disgusting. That said I do wonder how many more troops would start to defect with greater threats of US armed force involvement. I deeply hope we don’t actually attack anyone. It isn’t the type of involvement we want to be remotely stuck in.
No we don’t want to be involved militarily. Venezuela has been a disaster for almost all of its history and is going to be a disaster after the current regime collapses. There is no infrastructure, there is not an appropriate culture and other than marginal improvements, Venezuela is likely to continue to boil with internal unrest for a long time.... we need to STAY AWAY militarily.
Absolutely, it's just not going to happen. Is the Venezuelan government still keeping the tons of humanitarian aid - food, medicine, etc. - sitting on the border in Colombia? Just because it's from the US and Europe?

I don't see Trump involving our military. This is also political gold for Trump. He will be pointing to Venezuela and saying see... this is socialism. Fear sells.
It ain't easy being Jorge Ramos. First by trump and now by maduro. He also got under Obama's skin when Jorge called him the "deporter in chief" Easy to like this journalist and Mariana also.
