I turn 23 next month. The Palms looks like a pretty cool place to stay from what I saw on the Real World. We'll probably hit up Rain on one of the 3 nights. Apparently the consensus seems to be Cheetah and Crazy Horse for strip clubs, so I'll have to hit one of em up. Also, one of my buddies is seriously looking to hook up on the trip. I know prostitution is legal outside the city limits, though.
If you've never had a chance to see it, I'd be sure and catch the Pirate show at Treasure Island cause they're getting rid of it soon. My personal favorite (other than the Bellagio which is easily the nicest casino in my opinion) is Mandalay Bay. It's a lot cleaner and nicer on the inside and usually has a pretty young crowd.
You must be allergic to Freedom (oops, French) food. I spent 99 Xmas at Bellargio. Between the two, Paris buffet wins. To be fair, I have not been to Rio. I heard its buffet rocks. We waited 2 hours and 45 minutes for the dinner at Paris buffet on the Xmas eve I lost $100 in less than 5 minutes at Paris while waiting for the fuffet You gotta be real lucky at Paris.
Actually, the tram is shut down. I just got back, that town has a TON of construction and additions going up, and the tram is in the way of a bunch of construction, so its down for 2 years. Also, during the day, gamble, cheaper tables, not so crowded. BTW: See Danny Gans at the Mirage.
Baqui My flight leaves for vegas at 8AM tomorrow, yes thats wednesday if you see a bald white dude with 2 short indian kida and another random white dude, say hi and just follow us. we got a week to get ourselves arrested last time I was there was before the winter Olympics there is a thread i sarted around herre somewhere from back then. lots o fun PEACE
Alright, Im 23 too. You picked out good places then. Rain is awesome, I'll be there Thursday...you should check out Ghost Bar while you are there. Crazy Horse is awesome, as is Cheetah's. Go to those places if you want to spend a lot on lap dances. If you want the hottest girls, check out Club Paradise across from Hard Rock. Baby's is a cool club too and is located in Hard Rock. Honestly, there are going to be hot girls anywhere you go. Its all about what you make of it.
Anyone heard of The Spearmint Rhino? Somone gave me a $25 drink card for that place. Obviously, we're going. Just wondering if it's worth our time to plan to stay there, or just go for the drinks and bolt.
Never heard of it, but definitely get your drink on as long as there's no cover. Otherwise just lay low in the casino and get some free drinks. Dammit. I've got a one-on-one with my manager tomorrow morning at 9AM, and I'm still up... My flight leaves at 6:20PM, so all of my bags are packed.
I feel like I should be leaving this weekend too with everyone else. I will probably go in Sept..... If I can ever get on a plane again....
Well, I got back on Saturday night, and I was too f'n tired to post yesterday. Here's what I discovered. 1. Monte Carlo and NY NY were both easy places to win, as they use multiple decks in blackjack, and have friendly dealers. Mandalay Bay had a nice layout, and one of my buddies won big at Luxor. Stay away from the tables at Caesars Palace, Bellagio, and Golden Nugget on Fremont. They all seem to take alot more money than other places. 2. Went clubbing Thursday and Friday. Thursday night went to Rain at the Palms. Pretty nice club, and only $10 cover. Can't complain too much about the $5 beers, which is about average in Vegas. I did like the fire that shoots out on the dance floor, which was pretty damn crowded. Only thing I didn't like was having to keep guys away from my girlfriend while we were dancing. Studio 54 at MGM was the consensus on Friday because the girls wanted the free cover. So my GF paid for most of my beers that night. Also a very nice club, with acrobats hanging from the celing, and hot dancers. Only thing I regret was not being able to check out Ra at Luxor and Rum Jungle at Mandalay. 3. Places to see are endless. My favorite was downtown Vegas - Fremont St. Experience. Finally got to see what's always on TV and the movies. Lights everywhere, and every hour they do the show. A couple of cover bands were playing out there as well. I enjoyed the $6 strawberry daquiri yards as well ($2 refill at the Golden Gate). I also wanted to go to the Glitter Gulch, but it's hard when you're with 9 others who can't agree on something. Other than that here's some other cool stuff I saw: - Fountains at Bellagio - Volcano, white tigers at Mirage - Pirate Show at Treasure Island - Robots at Caesars Palace - Roller Coaster at NY, NY - "V" show at Venetian. Got half price tickets to this one, and it was well worth it. Got upgraded to a table downstairs after paying $5 each. "V" stands for variety, as this show had multiple acrobats, magician, prop comic, and a balancing act, not to mention a hilarious host. Next time I want to check out the shark reef at Mandalay - heard it's badass, just didn't have enough time. 4. If you win four or five hands in a row, it's probably best to get up for awhile. The cold streak is inevitable at that table and will take your money otherwise. Tip the dealer after a big haul as well. Don't get cocky - easy way to lose money. If possible, avoid single deck blackjack- limited aces and face cards. 5. N/A. Didn't make it to any this time. Maybe I'll save this for when I go to New Orleans at a later time. 6. Miscellaneous: - DO NOT eat the $1.99 1/2 lb. hot dog at the Boardwalk! - two of my friends did, and it resulted in stomach problems and diarrhea immediately - Know the difference between a hooker and a regular chick. Hookers are on the prowl on weeknights, and like to hang out at the bar at nice casinos, waiting for you to buy them drinks. Those f'n whores are so annoying - Try dinner at the Venetian. Very romantic setting at night, as the ceiling changes color. - Fatburger on the strip is good late at night. - Always have a drink in your hand. - The buffet at Golden Nugget is 10X worse than the one at Ryan's Steak House. - Some friends recommended the seafood buffet at Rio.
