Well JJ had Cancerous Rep before he came here too These two deals would be great Getting Rose and Nene would definately make our 1st team much better Rose, Sura, T MAc, Nene Yao that is long and Athletic however . . . i dunnot if it is a half court team it would be good defensive on sheer height alone this team COULD RUN [secondary break with Yao running directly under the basker] the question is WOULD JVG ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN Honestly, If it happen . . i would figure the players would be doing what they want and ignoring JVG Rocket River
I like Nene alot.. I think he would be a nice addition to our team. I dont know how he gets along with other players though. Jalen Rose wouldnt be bad either since the man can really score and is really quick. He is just like Mobley. Mobley is probably better now at this point in his career. Who knows, maybe we can get Chris Webber too and get the whole the Fab 5 team back together?!? TIME OUT!!! jk jk... but yah, i like Rodney White since he was in college. Our team really needs to shake things up.
Wouldn't touch Jalen Rose with a 10 mile pole. I can say with supreme certainty that he and McGrady would be at each other throats in no time flat. If you want Yao to run out of town, go ahead. The Denver trade can't be real. If it is, the Rox would have to do it. The only catch is, they'd need a second trade to move a PF for a SF to fill the void of Jackson. I have a hard time seeing White fill that role. Evan
I'd trade Mo for Rose in a heartbeat, and I hate Jalen Rose. I started hating him when he was overrated. Now, his market value more closely resembles his use value... which is about equal to Mo's.
Mo 4 Rose? DONE! As much as i think Rose suks, I think Mo sucks twice as back. Itll pretty much be a dump for both teams. Maybe a change is just want the doctor ordered 4 both of these players...
Just don't see the rockets throwing Mutombo into this trade. Deke would probably threaten to retire if he had to go to raptors. The rockets won't leave Yao naked in the frontcourt without a true backup center.
Ok, let's see if I got this right. Everyone is for moving Mo for Rose who's contract is just as long and ALOT more expensive, nevermind he's probably the biggest cancer in the NBA and will most likely cause friction for the 2+ seasons he'll be here. Not to mention his contract not only won't give us any cap room to sign free agents, but could actually hinder us in signing our own players. BUT, trading Mo for Walker, whose contract is up JUST after this season and whose only vice may be loving his jumpshot too much, was a horrible, very bad idea. Nevermind that he's playing very well right now, (being his contract year) as we'll probably all see tonight. perfect............now I get it. Do the deal that makes the LEAST sense. OK, I got it now.
I'm confused -- I thought this was all about Peter Vecsey the oft citing, inciting, rarely insightful NY Tab columnist.
The Rockets are already going to be over the cap if they don't do the trade, meaning they won't be able to go over the exceptions to sign anyone BUT they're own players - who you can go over to sign. That said, I don't disagree with the Antoine Walker premise. I'd prefer him to Rose myself.
Last I heard, Toronto was trying to move Rose and Vince in a package. Does that mean we are expecting a 3-way deal for Rose then?
If the deal involving Cookie were to go down, Jelani McCoy is available. He's no world beater, but could spell Yao.
Mo/Deke for Rose? I'd probably end up doing it, but Rose's contract is just nasty. Rose is definitely a JVG-type player though, I hope we don't pick him up and then cann JVG, leaving us with a max contract til' 2007.
According to the "Insider" - Chad Ford, he says Rose is going to be swapped w/ Eddie Jones?? Eddie Jones Heat Raptors? Retirement Dec. 15 - Even as the Heat and Raptors are reportedly involved in trade discussions involving swapping Jones and Jalen Rose, there is something else to keep in mind. Jones is so frustrated with his missing shot that associates say that he's talked about retiring at the end of this season. Jones, 33, has little more than 2 ½ years remaining on a $86 million contract. The Miami Herald reports its highly unlikely Jones would retire. He is concerned about his inability to hit shots – after hitting 48 percent of his field goal attempts with the Lakers in 1997-98, Jones' accuracy has declined. He's hitting just 34 percent of his shots this season.
Well, Mo has really sucked for the last two weeks and no one on our team can make a jump shot. Rose is a pretty good shooter who has been clutch in the past and would add athleticism to our team - something currently lacking. So yeah, I'd take the athletic 1/2/3 with a decent shooting % for his position over the slowish 4 with a horrible shooting % for his position. Rose gives you more options to work with than Walker. I don't know if he would work with this team...but at this point I'm willing to take a chance. If Boki truly is in JVG's doghouse, we have no future at the three and $20 million invested in crap at the 4. This trade would help alleviate both situations. We have a severe youth and talent deficit compared to most teams. If a move helps us change this, we have to consider it.
Michigan for michigan. How old is Jelan? 34. Why not trade Yao for C.Web and also get the other two Fab Five that are playing in NBA contracts. We will then be all set for at least next 10 year. No!!!!!!!!!!!! Not that loud mouth.
Hmm, lets see...MoT for Rose? Not a bad deal. MoT for Walker? Terrible, Terrible deal for the Hawks. The fact is that if we could get MoT for Rose, we should do it. But the Hawks aren't going to trade 15M coming off the books for a PF that doesn't rebound or defend.
