Where the heck is there a trade for a PG!!!!! Come on I dont mind the Nene deal but lets get someone who can orchestrate the offense first.
C- Yao/ ? PF- Nene/Howard/Padgett/Weatherspoon SF- Rose/White SG- McGrady/Sura/Gaines PG- Sura/Barrett/Lue/Ward Yeah. I could deal with that. Think Padgett could be an adequate back up center? Maybe we could trade a surplus powerforward or future 2nd rounder for Diop? something. Also, I'd love our height. It would make it much easier to get the ball in to Yao.

If it only takes Taylor + fillers to get Jalen Rose, then I'm all for it. Rose is vastly overpaid, but at least he's overpaid talent. And our chemistry right now sucks so much it really doesn't matter that he's a bad locker room guy. If we can get Nene, it's an absolute no brainer. He's too young with too much upside, something the Rockets lack horribly outside their 2 stars.
the first trade is one of those trades where i dont care how well the people we give away do, even if bostjan does good i know he wont give as much as nene can give us, and jj - i expect him to do well
Mutombo is not going anywhere (very doubtful), the first trade sounds more realistic. At this point, though, as long as we improve, GO FOR IT!!
this deal might happen - Rose is a cancer in Toronto - and while Mo T makes sick money - Rose makes SICKER money (something like $14 M) - BUT,,, he comes off the books sooner, (and can fill a need... SF) so there might be something to this
I really like both of these trades. Rose is an upgrade over JJ and White is an upgrade over bowen as backup SF. Nene can play backup center when Yao is on the bench. I would do both trades and see if we can get another backup center (maybe Howard for someone).
I thought i read somewhere that both Rose and Mo came off the books at the same time (after the 2006-07 season). Can anyone comfirm this?
I know there is some discontent from the board about JJ, but if he goes where do our 3 pointers going to come from. Only reliable shooters we will have left is Tmac and padgett. Everybody knows when we shoot the three ball well is when we win. Will we have enough shooting with Boki and JJ leaving, no but hopefully this trade we enable us to adress our rebounding and toughness. Vecey did get Tmacs destination right in the summer, maybe he could be right about this trade.
I doubt any of these trade rumors is going to help the team as long as JVG is the head coach. Maybe a Sprewell-type player can help and choke JVG for us...
