It would be remarkable if the Nets pursued this discussion, considering the Carter deal was made in large part to make Kidd a happy Net. But it wouldn't be such a bad move long-term for the Nets, either, as they would get out from under the weight of Kidd's contract -- which has four years and $75 million remaining after this season -- and get younger in the process. Vecsey either didn't say what he supposedly said on the radio (atleast not in the way that "message board post" described it), or he changed his story in 24 hours. His NBA column came out Friday and made no mention of any of this. If he said it as he "supposedly" did, he would have printed it, guaranteed. I would chalk this up as overstating it. Also, how many times do people say this: "RealHoopsInsiderworldHypeGM says Rose is likely to go to Miami" then you look at it, and the site in question regurgitated an article from a reputable newspaper, that merely stated a while back that there were rumors of a Rose - Eddie Jones swamp. This has turned in to "they are saying he'll go there". O... K. BTW, I found it funny that Vecsey went to great lengths to tear competitor Mitch Lawrence (NY Daily News) apart in his column for stupidity and lack of fact-checking ..... and in the same article Vecsey wants people to know that Memphis could get in the mix on deals that would include Stromile Swift (who can't be dealt).
All these deals of PGs that might be available, and we're sitting on our hands. Sucks! Les, CD, give up that girl Lue and that weak ass Howard of ours!
