I'm going to be seriously bummed if some team gets Miller on the cheap. The Rockets need more firepower to make some serious noise in the playoffs.

There is not much difference between Rafer and Kirk this year. Their stats are very close. Here are the major differences.

Kirk has a higher field goal percentage .887 compared to Rafers .663.
Rafer draws more fouls with 295 compared to Kirk’s 41.
Rafer averages 1.6 personal fouls per game compared to Kirk’s 3.2

I meant to say free throw percentage not field goal percentage.

If you look at the stats, Alston and Hinrich are about dead even in every category except FT%.

Hinrich is an 89% FT shooter (#5 among PG's). Rafer comes in at a piss poor 66% clip (#29 among PG's).

With all these trades (DALLAS!!! KIDD??? HAHAH) our weakness is less and less.

    Yao vs, Marion? uh oh
    Yao vs SAHQ?

    Rafer guarding scoring freak Harris?
    Williams?
Rafer guarding "no shooting" Kidd??? I'll take it!

West can D up and hit the J......He's really a player on the come.

Kirk can't play D like West but is a bargain due to his injury. He would shoot 40 - 43 % from three point land with Yao in the post.

And I'd welcome Thomas with open arms.

Getting Delonte West would be solid.

He's having an extremely bad year due to injuries I think. And I'm not sure if he's a better floor general than Rafer, but in terms of defense and shooting and size, Delonte West is a definite upgrade.

I don't think he's fitting into Seattle's plans right now, but he was solid for the Celtics prior to this year. If we get him, it'll be a risk to see if he can get back to playing good ball, but imo, he's way ahead of Rafer in every department except organising the offense.

He is the most realistic option out there and I rate him higher than Head. Will he be fit enough to produce is the question?

Evans salary next season is around $4M compared to James's at around $6M. The idea is to create salary space since Landry and Bonzi will be free agents.

I dont know much about D.West but his stats show no better than Head. Also, he played for last year's BOS and this year's SEA. I mean he doesn't know how to play in a contender(or even a pretender).

And Kirk is a very good defender who has really never played with a true center or multiple All Stars.

Kirk Hinrich is a GREAT defensive player. He has been able to break the dreaded stereotype that "white guards can't defend in the NBA". That being said, Delonte is a decent defender and a MUCH better value at his salary. I'd take hime over Luther Head any day.

Delonte is a gamer. Hinrich is a USABasketballer (almost). I would love either, but the cost of KH would be in a TMac deal and would have to involve 4 for 4, in my estimation.

    Yep...like a "T-Mac/Luther/Brooks/Chuck/Novak for Kirk/Gordon/Thomas/Sefolosha/Duhon" sort of deal.

Just to prove I can count, I made a 5 for 5, but it was hypothetical; and to offset Hinrich's BYC, the Bulls have to give up more salary at their end.

KIrk overplays the passing lanes and brings good team defense....can keep his man in front of him for the most part.Like I said,Kirk, when healthy should bust that outside J like nobody's business....esp, with all the open shots he'd see as a Rocket.I like the way he runs a team.

Delonte West has more length though (which I would prefer) and can stick the open shot.West really has been a sleeper..He really surprised me,but now I'm sold on him.

I'll take either one,but I agree West probably could be had for much cheaper and is just getting better and better.
