He doesn't realize that Manu was a 2nd round pick, Tractor was traded for Dirk, and Parker was the last pick in the 1st round. If they were superstars to begin with, well they wouldn't be on their respected teams today.

V-Span and Novak are not trash. Especially not Novak, he's a better Nachbar, and look where Nachbar is today. That's all JVG's fault. All of it is.

JVG does suck. I'm glad he's gone, but it's a little too late for me. I don't think I can ever look at this team the same way ever again. Getting rid of Alston will do wonders, but it still won't be nearly enough.

If Morey is who he says he is, then Alston will be gone too

You do realize that there are very few practices during the season, right? Mostly just shoot arounds and scheming for what the other team runs, but very very few real practices.

Yes, they are clearly not human beings, it is much better to micromanage, all great leaders do this...oh wait...no they don't.

Agreed, but confidence is built upon success, and JVG's style is detrimental to the development of that confidence particularly by younger players.

JVG sucks....he must go for the Rockets to reach that next level.

Nobody has mentioned Coach K. Wasn't he considering making the jump a few years ago for the Lakers. Could T-Mac and Yao be enough to lure him out of the collegiate ranks? Yes he has everything he wants at Duke, but maybe a shot to be great at the next level would appeal to him. Thoughts???

If we had developed Vspan and Novak well and kept Wells in shape, we would be able to be a real contender even without home court advantage.

wow dakota your just a prick.
so i am dumb and or stupid cause you say so? cause i look at the facts? manu, parker, nowitzki, yao, they all could play. they all did well, but became superstars through hard work.

jesus, i cant believe your even comparing vspan and novak to them. the nba is now FULL of euros who can flat out play, and do so IMMEDIATELY. maybe not superstar level out the gate, but at least they dont run around like a chicken with their heads cut off only to lose the ball off their knee or jack up a wide open 3 only to catch nothing but air like vspan and novak.

see, now i remember why i come to this board maybe once a year. its cause asses such as yourself wanna be a jerk to anyone who disagrees. your whiney garbage hasnt changed no matter who is coaching, or who is playing.

I like Tubby Smith, but with him changing jobs, I wouldn't think he'd come to the league.

Wait, so you come in saying this:
And then I retalitate and you duck and run when I hammer your points. Look we can disagree, I don't doubt your fandom at all...

I just believe that the atmosphere created by Rudy T is better suited for the players on the Rockets than a micromanagement one that JVG creates.

And players coming over from other countries need a bit more time to develop but someone believing in them and letting them learn on the go accelerates their development.

You see, I have said all along that this team was not really a contender and that we should be using this year to find out if V-Span and Snyder and Novak are going to be contributors to that championship team.

There is no way the team is ready, so why not find out if some of the pieces are part of the puzzle or not?

You simply call them trash and garbage, but yet have nothing to back it up, it is just your opinion....same as mine.

So, I will extend the olive branch to you, I know we are both frustrated Rockets fans.....but please don't come in name calling then whine about someone else taking you to task for it.

    Truce?

Despite JVG's shortcomings, I do appreciate the effort he has put into the franchise - there was a never doubt in my mind that he gave it his all. Its just that we need a new face to adapt our team to the modern NBA game. I still have belief in our core duo. Now, we just need players and systems to surround those players. IMO, Battier is one of the pieces, but he is certainly not the last piece of the puzzle, in fact, there are quite few pieces that are still left to be found.

    Why Adelman?

    1. Make the team fun to watch and bring in audience to the arena.

    2. Maxmize the strength of our team since we have much better offensive talents than defense.

    3. Increase player's point per game and maxmize their trade value.
