Mod please remove this sticky and post a more general coach change thread especially now since the word is out that Rockets spoke to Adelman. JVG leaving is now not a matter of "if" but "when". Let's keep the board civilized and have all coaching updates on one post.

    Thank You

no offense, but no guarantee that jvg is leaving yet... there are still some "scenarios" in which morey sees jvg coaching rockets next year. optimism is good, but let's wait till their is proof.

Only a fool would comeback to coach at this point. I wish I could do this to my girlfriend, tell her I'm going to sleep around...I mean shop around to see my options but if I don't find any smokin hot drop dead gorgeous girl then maybe she can come back and blow me. :D

I too believe that the Rox JVG era is over. I think JVG will have success in the NBA again. I hope he goes back to the Knicks. NYC misses him. Hes a good coach, and the Rox org is at a point where they dont have the financial and cap flexibility to make the changes that would help JVG win at a higher level. So they will have to find a coach that will get more offensively out of the players they already have. JVG 's influence will be felt because he has taught the Rockets a lot about defense. Many players that have played under him before still speak of how he is the coach that taught them the most about defense.
