Yet you miss the both - the injuries are to similar parts of the body and are thus related in that manner. These types of injuries tend to recur, even with surgery. It doesn't matter whether or not he was healthy for his entire career before these two injuries - what matters now is that he has seen two similar injuries in two seasons and has the propensity for more in the future.

You want to know why that team is losing? A lack of leadership and defense. Hey - sounds exactly like the Raptors with VC (or even a hobbled VC), now doesn't it? Not to mention that not only has he missed time, so has Cassell, Robinson, and Redd. I'd like to see the recent reports that his knee is getting worse - considering he's only been back for 2 games max.

Propoganda expressed by Toronto fans trying to find an excuse. Yes, TMac attempted to bulk up this past offseason. Why? To prevent these back spasms from occuring. If you want to say that makes him injury prone, then fine. But soft? No way.

He pounds it to the hole all the time and still comes away relatively unscathed. Vince? Dunks on the fastbreak, hurting his knee, and shoots those stupid 3 pointers and outside jumpers instead of taking it to the hole. That is one of his biggest flaws right there.

I brought that argument up, because there is something missing from your arguments. The fact that you admit to it shows this.

A long term plan it may be, and prudent, but that still doesn't hide the fact that he has had two injuries to related parts of his body caused by overstressing his legs and knees. And, it still doesn't hide the fact that with these two injuries behind him and his style of game known to cause similar injuries to him and other players (such as is the case with Ray Allen), that he is now prone to similar injuries in the future.

When Vince's high-flying act is grounded, the Raptors fail to improve for several years, and the team threatens to move to the mainland, the fans won't be there. They won't cheer for a team stuck in the middle of nothing forever.

I hope Vince is listening to all the criticism. I hope he does come back pissed off with the world's biggest chip on his shoulder, looking to shut everybody up.

The NBA will be better for it.
