He reminds me of Jaric and Nash, much closer overall to Jaric. And I'd much rather have Jaric than Wesley or Head- I'm sure JVG could pretty easily mask his defensive deficiencies. I'd rather bring this guy over than spend our first rounder on a PG... Vassilis and Redick, not necessarily at the same time, but in the same rotation would be very good offensive fits for Yao and T-Mac-
i agree with the previous posts. dude travels nonstop... definitely has the flop routine down... has some attitude. bring the guy over. seems to have sura-ious attitude. like'm already.
Oooohhhh, the french have such sexeee voices....no wonder why they get tail. It looks like he has pretty decent skills, plays hard and appears to be strong but he didn't look quick at all which was disappointing. I think he should be brought into training camp and for the preseason. He seems like a good late 2nd round pick.
Actually, the altercation D wasn't all that bad. The defender stayed in front of him while keeping his hands up to avoid fouls. Well, he got called for it anyway. I actually know that guy. He's the former Atlanta Hawk Travis Hansen.
That team he was playing against was nowhere near any kind of NBA-level defense. I'd still like to see him at least at the Rockets training camp this year, though
Aye, there's the rub. We can't get him here unless we're willing to pay him $550gr out of our MLE this season and Spanoulis would be foolish to sign less than a 3 year deal given his current contract, current popularity in Greece and (yes) potential. Almost everybody here knows that. And it pretty much seems many her will be quite content to never see this guy in a Rockets uniform. After all we've such a deep roster with just a "few" moves to be made (with so many options) to make us a championship contender next year there's no need to fret about peripheal assets. The bottom line is that Spannoulis likely will be as ready to play next year as our lottery pick and JVG's head might explode if he's expected to even play two rookies real minutes next season. The talent we have, and are going to acquire, is going to be sooo much better than goofball rookies. And that hard charge toward 3rd place in our division next year is going to make us all feel better about 2007. Ok, my sarcasm wasn't fair but I seriously needed to get it out of my system. I know many are withholding any final judgement and we probably will get a chance to see V-Span compete against NBA players in the WBC, but I'm not on the fence about this. We're in no position to waste a possible asset over less than $2 million even if the guy's a complete bust. Last I heard either Lindsey or CD was supposed to be in Greece now checking out Spannoulis' game and intentions. That may have changed with Morey's hiring but I think the decision has to be made by the time the Finals end. I do believe it's either: 1. Now 2. Never 3. or who cares? P.S. I think his jumper needs serious work.
Actually he made one open shooting at the very beginning of the video and the second one he missed was a tough one.
