That is awful on both accounts.

 

It wasn't really his story. I hate threads like this, where someone makes a post clearly intended to look like his own experience, and ends up saying, "Hey! It wasn't me, it was this other guy!!"

If you didn't do it yourself, don't imply that you did. And if you did do it yourself, then don't come back later and pretend you didn't. Give us a break.

Yeah from the beginning it kind of sounded like you were the telling the story of another guy telling a story.

 

so you've been here almost 5 years and you don't remember how to post a link to a story that isn't yours? riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

 

First off this story was posted on craigslist, so there's probably a 90% chance that the whole thing is bogus and never happened. Secondly the whole story has a cruel undertone. The guy sounds like he's derived a lot of pleasure from shoving it in her face. And thirdly we only hear one side of the story, and yet the guy still comes off as a bit of a tool. If you only tell your side of a story of course you'll come out sounding better. For him to come off in any bad light makes me wonder how bad he really acted.

I'm not saying the girl in this story is a peach, but I'll agree with the posters that say they probably deserve each other. If these people even exist. The whole thing smacks of a macho, fantasy rage on women. The moral of the story is more like "women suck". And to some extent a lot of them do, but it's not like men are any better themselves.

 

Whatever man...that chick could have been a saint her whole life, but if she tried to pull that **** with him than she deserved every lil bit. Come on someone tries to screw your whole life up and you would just let it slide? I don't think so.

 

Please. Men screw up our whole lives and we let it slide. Oh wait, that's called marriage.

 

Who cares if this was posted on craigslist or even it its bogus. You take it at face value or you discredit everything else on the internet. It's a funny story and not some documentary essay that you need to fact check.
As to the one sidedness of this story, you either believe the part in the story where the girl has sex (cheating or not) with another guy and tries to pawn off the baby on this guy. If you take the story for what it is then there is no way the 'other' side of the story can make this girl out for anything other than what she is. A lying, cheating w**** who tried to manipulate this dude. As to whether or not this dude is a d1ck or not is up for debate. But in this story he's not the one that got pwnt and so I don't focus on him.

 

Why the hell should we take it at face value. Discredit the internet? If you don't take everything you see on the internet with a grain of salt, you're a damn fool. And tearing apart stories and articles for it's veracity is a big part of what the internet is all about.

That "crazy bride" video shows up on youtube, the first thing people start discussing is whether it's fake or not. Bush says something in the news, and immediately people start spinning or knocking down the spin. A guy says he almost dated a pornstar, is a boxer, bartender and rooms with 5 hotties, and he gets heckled to no end and gets driven away from the board because of it.

You say that "It's a funny story and not some documentary essay that you need to fact check" and I say, "Why should I swallow this BS if I don't think it's funny, or amusing, or honest."

Besides, all I was saying is that this dude acted like a tool. I'm not taking her "side" or anything. The whole story it sounds like he's happier to be able to punk this girl than mad or outraged that she was trying to dupe him. He sets up every situation to try to mess with and manipulate her right back and seems to derive an enormous amount of pleasure out of it.

It's a cruel thing to do, and it's no surprise that these two hooked up. I believe that people usually end up with who they deserve. And in this story, if the genders and situations were reversed, I bet that this guy would act just as dirty and manipulative, and underhanded as this girl was, and vice versa.

Look, the woman LIED and wrangled him in for her OWN SELFISH benefit A substantial number of women have it in them to do this...And why must we still insist on holding the viewpoint of women as innocent little pures and delicate flowers in this day and age? If a women was in place of that guy and did that kind of thing to a guy she'd get back some "You GO girl" from the whole community and have a short story written of it. I have to love women but I tend to dislike gender-based double standards like that. The guy was being a dickish about it, yeah. But she initiated the whole clingy suction pull and set up a life for herself based on pure ASSUMPTIONS and no proof to back up her side. Who's really more wrong here - the guy that coldy left the situation as is and let both sides go on with their lives, or the woman who was gonna have the man locked into a lifestyle supporting "their" needs and would have taken him to the cleaners for not "handling his responsibilities" if she had to.

This story is very much like a radio talk show topic I heard 3-4 months ago. 4-5 guys called in with their experiences from their vasectomies. Yes the stories were REAL. Varying degrees of dramatic accounts each one but all the stories had the similar theme - man sterilized, woman is expecting & pegs man as father, woman advances forward with the constructed setup of who the father is and the future plans, and asks very few to NO questions about its legitimacy and almost expects NO inquiries or rebuttals about the situation either. Until the truth is told of course.

I wish I had the guts to get a vasectomy.

 

No self-respecting guy would write or say that. The original poster, ie author must be a woman. The story reminds me of those Adrian Mole books which were written by a woman.

I notice the same undertones from everyone else thats given kudos to the guy in this "story".. Interesting..

 

Obviously the guy in this story has no "self respect". Thus, he would write or say that to go out of his way to humiliate a woman so absolutely, for the sole purpose, as it is glaringly clear by the underlying hate tones of said story, of petty sub-human self-gratification towards the woman's sad situation and his planned and successful worsening of it.
