I don't remember when they start, but IIRC the last game is on the 1st of October, which was a big deal since we thought it may be a few days later, hurting his time in training camp.

Though, if they were to lose in the first round...;)

Impressive! Although he was playing a much smaller opponent, I like the way he was pushing them around. It seemed if he had taken a page or two from Shaq.

Oh Yao is a big bully. Is it ok for him to do that? Bump his opponent 3 feet away then take a shot? No foul?

When they are nothing but scrubs....I don't think NBA players would move out of the way that easily. ;)

I love that Yao is diversifying his moves. He showed us glimpses last year that he has studied Dream's moves, and now shows that he is trying to learn a thing or two from Shaq. Remind anyone of the Shaq/Dream relationship before? This is good for Yao to take skills from great centers and learn how to adapt them to fit his style. A true renaissance man!

Finesse and power, Yao will rule when he seamlessly combines the two in one.

    WOW! Yao is DA MAN!!!

However, I have heard that Yao Ming didn't score many points in recent games as a member of the Chinese National Team. He could score double-digit points as he did in NBA, but when you consider the dominance of Gasol and Nowitzki who was undoubtedly able to score more than 20 points in the international competitions, Yao seems a little bit "inferior". Not long before, we just heard Yao have missed several dunks in a SINGLE game. So isn't there be something to be worried about?:(

It's an exhibition game, nobody takes those seriously. He also played limited minutes. A better comparison would be the World Championships where Yao averages around 20/10 in around 28 mins. I'm not too worried about it.

They will start on 9/23/03 and finish on Oct.1. The event will be in China, which is good for Yao Ming. He does not need travel much.

Its good to see that Yao worked on bulking up on the offseason. It will be interesting to see how he performs against some more experienced NBA players.

With all of the relatively recent worrying about American basketball supremacy, aren't those clips just what we all need to relax a bit? :D

Seriously--great clips, appreciate them--but I wish we could play against those guys. I'm glad that Yao doesn't HAVE to exert himself fully until the real season begins.

Nice moves, but seems a step slower, though more powerful
