Where's a good place here in Houston to watch the fight? When Tyson fought Holyfield, I went to Sansone's but they didn't have it on
Really? If enough people here will go to Sansones for the fight, I could probaly get Sam to order it. Hes also ordering all The Texas football games this year, so UT FANS, COME OUT!
Lets see Vargas call somebody his son and question his manhood after De La Hoya, rusty and not sharp, put him on his back. Couldn't happen to a better egomaniac. So much for Oscar being a "pretty boy". Vargas, big mouth, can't back it up. I actually thought Oscar would have put him away earlier, I was thinking KO in the 8th or 9th coming in, but hey a win is a win, and knockout is a knockout.
I was really impressed with that left hook. Problem though is that boxing just doesn't thrill me much anymore; Igor Vovchanchyn has completely ruined me for other punchers. When Oscar kocked Vargas down with that left hook, all I could think about was how much better this knockout was by Vovchanchyn: http://216.40.244.4/pride/pride8/ride8_vovchanchyn_vs_bueno.zip Still a good fight though. At least no one was knocked out in the first couple rounds.
What a helluva fight! Man, They were just trading rounds up until about the 6th or seventh, Vargas looked to run out of gas and Oscar went on a run of winning about 3 rounds in a row. What a messed up thing that two of the judges had it 96-95 for De La Hoya and the third judge, the woman judge had it 97-94 for Vargas?! WHAT FIGHT WAS SHE WATCHING!?!?! I'm also glad Vargas lost. I dont hate the guy, but his constant trash talking was annoying as hell. Cant wait for Hoya and Trinidad to go at it. I wonder if the $20-$25 million dollars will convince Tito to un-retire?
sorry a train but it looks to me like your boy got his ass handed to him.. dont you know class always wins over crass?? as a mexican american I am sick and tired of gangbusters like vargas giving hispanic people a bad name.. vargas the bad a$$ brute got taken to school by the veteran..that was the most wonderful thing I have seen all year.. maybe now he and some of the people out there like him will finally shut the f*ck up
