Hey now my alma mater's student body still puts on shirt and tie (coats are optional). They're actually pretty good this year too (for a D3 team).

 

I want to see Baylor beat A and M again this year and Texas Tech @ home for homecoming. That would be greatness

 

jeff.. when I was posting it wasn't even 11pm yet.. still plenty of time to celebrate after 11pm

And I just woke up at 1030am.. so I beat my goal of getting up by noon...

Wings and beer at the Sportsman's Grille. My Sunday hangover special during NFL season. I used to live at that bar on Sundays....the bartender put Rockets and Oilers games on for me because I brought in a boatload of Houston fans.

We wore the shorts with the coat and tie...with a flask of Makers in the back pocket.

I won't be making a jaunt to Nashville this year, but we somehow make a bowl game, I will be wherever that is, no matter what. But I dont want to get ahead of myself.

 

Y'all wanna win? Put Boobie in.

funny you mention makers.. it was in a vandy magazine a couple of years ago about greatest vandy inventions I think it was.. apparently the guy was a vandy alum.. so drinking it supports vandy people

mateo.. on a side note.. we got a commit from a very good basketball player this weekend too that came to the football game...

he was also being recruited by oklahoma.. guess he saw that our football team is better!

 

Oh and my texas friends got a kick out of vandy being ranked higher than oklahoma in football..

im with mateo, im riding this streak as long as possible..



The BEST part is that the players were in my upper level econ course today.. our players take REAL courses.. not to mention playing their hearts out for a murdered teammate..

I really am surprised that the national media hasn't gotten ahold of this and talked more about the fact that the guy who should have been our starting running back this year was murdered..

if we make a bowl game.. ill be there..

 

I don't think this will be the last one..

I've seen steady progression since my freshman year when this coach was in his first year...

We have not won over the last years.. but the games have been closer each year .. and last year 5 games were lost by 15 pts total... score 15 more pts last year and we could have been 7-3... the progression has happened year by year..

We won a total of about three games during my years at Vandy. And one of the wins was over William & Mary when they left William at home

Usually we invent ways to lose. This year, at least through three games, the worm has turned. I have no delusions about beating the big boys.....not enough jocks, but even a marginal bowl game would be heaven for us starved Vandy fans!!
