hey Hilltopper, i'd be interested in that one seat (ticket) that your friend is willing to sell. Contact me at siamesedreamer@sbcglobal.net and hopefully I can get in touch with him and work something out. Thanks.
i could have gotten a $150 ticket for the dallas show, but man, that is alot of money. even the upper level seats were $80. aside from festival-type stuff, the most ive ever paid is $90 for prince in 2004 and those were 12th row seats AND your ticket got you his latest cd too.
I cannot believe I'm going to see Van Halen tonight in SA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Work is extremely difficult to deal with right now. Must...stay...focused...

So what did everyone think? I thought musically, they delivered. Everything sounded great, including DLR when he felt like singing. Stage presence was pretty bad all-around. Use the whole stage, fellas. EVH stood in the same spot all night and DLR looked like he needed a cane despite the fact that he appears to be on HGH. He was probably a little more goofy than cool. Of course Wolfgang isn't even worth mentioning in this department. Verdict: Thumbs up but not worth the price. Pretty much what I expected.
I've got tickets to the 2nd show in Dallas coming in March. However, they were a gift and I'm just way past the point of being entertained by an all 70s/80s nostalgia hits show of VH. I wish I cared...but I don't. I'm sure it will be a decent show...those feelings aside. I'm thinking about passing on it.
Can't take credit for that! They're from here: http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblogs/happens/2008/01/van_halen_still_running_with_t.html
Last night's show was amazing. There was a badass drum solo by Alex, and later on in the show Eddie played a ridiculous medley. It was f'n sick. Lots of energy from David Lee, who hadn't aged a bit it seemed like. Loved the encore with "Jump". The only thing I didn't like was David Lee telling some long-winded incomprehensible story leading up to "Ice Cream Man".
