SF doesn't finish well on fastbreaks when all the big guys were 20 feet behind him. He missed countless layups. How do you explain that? I think he has partially lost the ability to attack the basket.
So just trade Yao to get some forwards that also love to run ISOs along with SF3 and Cat. Let Cato play center along with 4 players doing one-on-one for the whole game, and please remember to bring back Rudy. I am pretty sure that lots of the teams in the league will be willing to pursue the deal. Eventually we will get the likes of Jungie happy and the Rockets get stuck in lottery for the next decade year in and year out. Deal?
Wow, I thought you were only complaining when Yao is on the court, now even if he is on the bench, other players will lose their offensive rhythm !! What a cancer Yao is... better get rid of him quickly.
You can say what you want about Rudy's offense, it scored a lot more points than the one we're running now...
Not to mention that Yao hasn't exactly rocketed us up the playoff ladder. We're a borderline playoff/lottery team like we have been. Seems to me, we get the same results with or without him.
It also seems to me that we AREN'T doing any worse than your guard oriented team, yet you automatically deduced that system was better. Not to mention the fact that you "forgot" to mention that any positives done by Yao this year is wiped out by that of your favorite player, who is not so subtly having a career worst year.
Please don't say you love that ugly iso system. The current one is BETTER! It doesn't score many points, because JVG wants to run out clock. It is the design. The overall efficiency is higher.
The statement's only true for those who consider 4 ppg more offense. (The difference between last season ppg average and the current season). Personally, I don't. In fact, based upon points scored per FGA, last seasons' Rockets were only more effective out beyond 3 decimals places in points per FGA. IOW, if both last years' and this years' team put up 88.48 FGA's/game (like the league leading Mavericks), the difference would be a whopping .71 ppg.
An offense is only judged by how many points it scores. Regardless of how you do it. You score more points, you have a better offense.
Glad you cleared that up for me, Sport. I'll be sure to reference this seasons' powerhouse ppg offenses in my future posts...the Bucks @ #3, the Sonics @ #7, the Celtic @ #8, the Clippers @ #9. Oh....and BTW...if we subtract out your hero SF3, the rest of the Rockets would have the NBA'S 5th best FG%....but Steve's horrendous shooting doesn't impact that 4 ppg difference, right?
