That's what I'm saying is that JVG during the season could've developed plays that open the lane for penetrations and there are players on the Rox who can..cough V-Span cough...

This team is primarily a jump shooting team, even T-mac is becoming mostly a jump shooter and I think JVG mostly schemes that way to get the ball to Yao or to free up a jump shooter so while he might give the players the green light to drive his sets don't work well for that.

As I said though its too late to make any major changes and we have to live or die with what we have.

The whole team was just lethargic. He feeds off of the energy of T-mac, and when T-mac is underwater, so goes Rafer. He will never develop a into a consistent offensive threat. What we do need, is for us to get a third scorer, so that all Rafer needs to do is run the ball up the court and set up the offense.

Frankly, the way we played last night, I don't see V-mac capable of doing any more damage, at least he's willing to drive in the lane to draw fouls, unlike the other T-mac that we know of.

it was still a close game midway through the 4th quarter, though. you play your starters.

Why there are so many suckers would like to see Yao shooting jumpers by wasting so much talent he had? It is a shame.

JVG is definitely one of them.

but he tolerated TMAC's 1/8 performance in the third quarter. JVG's fault was that he did not control or inspire TMAC during two timeouts. The two freaking timeouts resulted in two turnovers. JVG did a very bad job here.

His bench rotation gave him 0/10. Did he have other options?

JVG's biggest problem is that he gave Yao too much freedom to shoot jumpers. That is the ultimate way to ruin Yao and this team.

How do you know he didn't try to inspire Tmac, and why the hell should he? Tmac's been in the league sooo damn long, never been out the first round, mother****er should already be inspired! Last night was inevitable. I knew they'd lose, but not like the way they did. It was like watching Groundhog's Day, Jazz TO, Rockets TO, Jazz TO, Rockets TO, CONVERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One question, was pulling tmac out while he was hot (9 of 7) a good move? Don't you think he could have probably milked tmac more while he was in rythym. We all know tmac lost his rythym when he got back in.

    It's somewhat the coach's fault.

how can you continue to let your players play nonchalantly on the offensive end and allow them to turn the ball over, throw errant passes, throw BOUNCE passes, and such.

You have to be decisive and in control of your offensive game, which we have clearly not been over the last 3 games.

T-mac getting fouled and flipping up a spinning shot is not what he should be doing. You have to control your body and try to make a good attempt at getting the lay-up in.

Our inability to focus on details is what is killing our team; our defense is just a habit.

I've been saying that our offense needs work, and people were bashing me.

TAMC is a baby, and an emotional one. He gives it up quickely. If TMAC does not need inpiration, who needs?

When your play maker is shooting 1/8 , what are you going to do? If JVG does not know, please quit the job.

Yes, Yao had too much freedom of shooting jumpers. When you are single covered by freaking slow stiff like Okur, you have to go inside, instead, Yao shooting jumper after jumper after jumper. That is the freedom, the freedom of doing something lazy and lame.

Why did I take you off of ignore?

You think BONZI was the answeR?, he'd probably pull himself out. Seriously, hating on JVG for some of the reasons in this thread is silly, but this is perhaps the most ridiculous. LET IT GO. Dude NEVER EVEN PRETENDED to be a good team mate, forget about earning his 2mil. Face it, he took a year off and got paid... our only mistake was thinking a bad character guy like him was going to play hard making 1/10 what he was offered and turned down.

I, too, knew these threads would be here. Come on, we KNEW the Jazz were going to come in and play rough. We stuck with them, held our composure through all the flopping etc., but our shots didn't fall. You don't change your gameplan in the middle of a game after missing a few shot. From what I hear, the haters here would have benched TMAC and Rafer and played Bonzi and Lucas? Yeah, I'm SURE that would have fixed it... then we really would have something to complain about regarding JVG.

Percentages and averages dictate that those same shots should/would fall soon. It just didn't happen... yet. Face it... it's always easy to say what we COULD have done, but if we hit a decent percentage, we could have won this game. As it is... you haters have another day. But my guess is that it will be your only day this series to complain... ROCKETS IN 5.... STILL.

Only thing good about this is that we get our chance to eliminate them at home. I'll be there.

Agree with all points, esp. the first, though sometimes I wish they wouldn't create 3x as many threads when we lose as there are when we win.

JVG did nothing to quell the atrocious drought . He did not mix up the line up or anything.

He should of brought in Lucas too change the pace . Or bring in Synder in to pressure Harpring.

    SOMETHING!!!!
