    Battier?

Sure he hasn't had stars, but he has had talent to surround Yao and Tmac with.....and don't forget JVG helped shape the roster, at least in his first 3 years, to me it looked like management lost faith in his direction and went their own last off season.

Look JVG's was a failed tenure, he improved Yao's game and got Tmac to pass, so some of it was positive, let's hope Adelman's can build on the foundation JVG and his staff created......

I wouldn't put money on this. Adelman can be quite the curmudgeon.

True, do you think Les will ask him to be more public friendly, and if he does, will he listen ?

This is true. The why doesn't matter, it was all on the end result. JVG failed to get us past the first round and he lost his job because of it. Time to move on.

Well Adelman so far has been more public friendly on the issue of rookies.

Sooner or later the team that's not succeeding is yours. JVG shipped all the guys on the roster out except for Yao. I don't believe he had nothing to do with the players we acquired afterward.

Yes, I want to see the Rockets win another title before I die of old age, but our team's direction has not looked very good the past decade. Recently this pass draft has me scratching my head and most of the FA players that could have helped us are being signed by our competition.

I'm trying to like the pick of Brooks, but it's going to take time. Let's hope that big PF trade Morey has been talking about comes true soon.

It was CD in charge of the trades. JVG, according to Feigan (and "denniscd," whatever happened to that guy?) never had the kind of power Rudy had. Stromile Swift was hardly a JVG-type player and he was the #1 target. And the 10-day contracts for old Knicks don't exactly count as "power."
