come on now! just b/c they are talking doesnt mean yao still prefers jvg. some of the comments he and t-mac have made in the last few days might, but not these pics.

actually, i think jvg would have been playing steve, if steve had returned knowing jvg was going to be here. but i agree that scola probably wouldnt have even gotten a shot and bonzi probably would have left.

if scola keeps this up could he be a rookie of the year candidate?

If I were a betting man, I'd bet a pretty large sum that we are not going to be 10-7.

Let's not forget that VG supposedly never allowed Yao to train with CD.

The grass is always greener on the other side, they say. Now, RA might wind up not being a good fit for this team, but that doesn't mean that VG ever was.

I don't understand why people think JVG would not have given Scola minutes. Sure, Scola is making his share of rookie mistakes but he is already showing that he will be a solid NBA player. This isn't like the Vspan situation. Vspan showed almost no glimpses of being a serviceable player in the league.

and CD has done what? see maybe if adelman had yao's back more like JVG did taking fines for yao, maybe yao himself wouldnt have to lose focus over how he's ref'ed

VG wasn't a good fit but at least he was a better than RA. He took what he had and made the most out of it.

I agree with everything you said, everytime we loss or something doesn't look right, there is thread after thread saying this needs to be changed and we need this or that. It's really annoying.

i can't believe these JVG-suckers. why do u want him back? he didn't lead us ANYWHERE.

if u want RA gone, get a NEWER coach.

i swear i read like a gazillion FIRE JVG posts last yr when we blew these 20 pt leads earlier in the season too.

but i still believe when RA uses steve and has a newer rotation for the PG spot, we will be fine.

if jvg had the team we have this year, alston would be the one buried on the bench, and we could win it all.

i think alot of people forget that we didnt have alot to work with last year. hayes was all we had worth a damn at PF and who was gonna run point besides alston? spounallis?

van gundy is a hell of a coach, and its been proven time and time again, the only teams that win it all are defensively strong, half court teams with a big man. gosh, i wish he was still here.

what's with all the chinese posters jonesing for JVG all of the sudden?

have you all been reading a lot of chinese media propaganda about that? every single post is the same "JVG helped yao develop" "adelman is ruining yao."

every post is like that, I'm guessing some articles fed you those 2 ideas and you're subconsciously regurgitating them back

JVG is a pretty good coach and as a NYer I'll say that he's a very likeable coach primarily because he works hard 24/7/365 and doesn't take himself overly seriously like isaiah. but it's not like he did superhuman things with yao.. other coaches would have developed him too

in all reality, JVG set the bar fairly low, adelman is here for many seasons. even if he doesn't get out of the first round this year he's secure for season 2

Wow, you are either Les' assistant or you are daydreaming. RA's secured for season 2 even without making playoffs? He's close to secure for fire.
