Interesting quote. I was travelling through Cleveland when the Cavs hired Silas and one of the sports reporters in Cleveland noted that Silas is a physically imposing man unlike Gundy which might make it more likely for the Cavs players (especially Lebron James) to listen to him.
[/B][/QUOTE] Jeez, what the hell happened to the roof of the arena. Is this an outdoor stadium? What kinda of architect designed this piece of crap arena thats going to raise the roof (pardon the pun) on the prices.
What is this? An arena for ants?! How can the players be expected to play basketball if they can't even fit inside the building?
Actually, I learned a long time ago that posting pics is not as easy as it looks. I know that not all sources will allow you to reference their pictures. So, if you'll notice, I never post pics for fear of the dreaded red X.
I know this is basically a lighthearted thread but I think it's important to re-emphasize what I said earlier - Van Gundy has passion for the game and this translates to the players he coaches. Those of you who are fixated on his looks need to grow up. If the Rockets hire him - I'm pretty sure he will earn the players respect. It will have nothing to do with his physical appearance(obviously)- but will have everything to do with his abilities as a coach and motivator. Don't put so much value in what you see visually. As for the arguement that " Well - that's how the real world operates ". True - in a superficial sense.
