I think he should criticize him behind the door.

Don't you think it would have been nice if Yao's hardwork during this stretch was praised in front of the TV?

If JVG also rips the other players in public, by name, then I won't mind him ripping on Yao too. But he doesn't, does he? Even though the other players deserve to be flamed to a crisp after the last two games, who does JVG go after? Yao. The unfairness of it is what angers a lot of people, including me. I will say it once more: I want JVG out of here.

So when a reporter asks him about his expecations for Yao, he should respond by talking about Juwan, Rafer, and Luther?

It's amazing that so many of your guys jumped out say Yao'D is not so well after hearing JVG's BS.

Why I cant find any of you talk about it before?

    Keep kissing JVG's ass.

ONLY keep opponent under 90 points cant bring you a victory every night.

Because those players JVG choose only can score 80 points on a good day.

... or in other words, you don't send a sissy to make a sissy a man. Yao was a sissy when he came into this league... he's slowly getting a tougher mentality.

I'm assuming that's in a positive sense of the word.

You know, perceptions are really weird around here. JVG can expect what he expects, say anything he wants to and he's applauded like the dead breed of an NBA dinosaur coach he is.

And Yao's sort of a lab rat by NBA standards. Unprecedented, respectful and with a thirst for knowledge.

But now he not only blows defensive coverages (been in the defensive system for 2 and 3/4 years, yet supposedly he has a high basketball IQ) but suddenly he isn't really trying hard, for 3 games now.

Apparently Yao lacks focus. Apparently Yao should be better than he is. Apparently JVG thinks Yao is about to go Starbury on him. Right.

JVG is simply about to have a stroke and coach again forever now more. Les has him on the hook financially. For those proud people about the $100,000 fine, that's chump change compared to what he's going to lose here with Les.

Either watch or wait, but I really believe JVG wants to quit. But by my estimation is that would cost him about $2 mil. in real (now) dollars if he were to resign as opposed to hang on until next November.

Les must be very happy with attendance at TC. Les must be really happy with JVG's mouth. Les must surely think Yao's the greatest bust of all-time.

Or maybe he's about to blow a gasket himself. My money is on Yao and Les.

you're missing the point. he wasn't asked about the eleven other players. he was asked about yao and he gave an honest and actually quite fair answer.

"I thought he played a great game but he can't do it all by himself. Our team needs to find ways to help him though. We need to make our open shots and crash the boards more"

    yea really hard to me.

exactly. the funniest thing about all these babies thinking they need to protect yao from big bad gundy, is that i guarantee the man loves his coach.

no one doubts that he Yao loves his coach. What I'm doubting is whether his "teaching skills" is actually working or not.

If we stopped injecting reason into this discussion, this thread would balloon to about 30 pages of incorrect grammar and poor punctuation. Then Clutch would have to pay even more to run this site all because a bunch of effeminate YOFs had their feelings hurt and needed to complain about it. That's why. Now go get your tissues.

First, thanks oaschadha for the quote. I don't think JVG ripped Yao either. From Sina, Yao admitted that he was not doing well on the boards in 2nd half of the game as well.

Second, rwienert, though you apologized for starting this rant, you may want to edit your original post to aviod irritating more clutchfans here? :)

Third, why are those reporters keep asking Mavs players about Yao? Their compliments make me feel even more embarassing since we lost the game.

Diop had 5 fouls and 2 rebounds.

Dampier had 5 points, 7 rebounds and 4 fouls.

The Rocket's second best rebounder was Keith Bogans (6'5") with 6 rebounds. Howard, our starting power foward, had 3 while Swift had 1.

Oh that Yao, what a f*ing slacker.

Yeah, Phil Jackson, Red Auerbach, Larry Brown; all those guys suck.

It's pretty obvious why JVG does not criticize Tmac as much in the media; the guy is not exactly a mental ironman. Basketball has never been a democracy. As the saying goes, everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others.

Oh no that can't be. That stupid JVG with his negative comments. Now even the divine Yao himself doesn't think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Oh the humanity! Fire Gumpy!
