I voted Vampires. Anyone thinking Vampires are gay are wrong. Period. Vampires are sexy, zombies are not. As a guy, you can only think with your head (and not the one attached to your neck). Which would you hit? Spoiler or Spoiler That should be the end of this discussion. Who gives a F about what is cooler? The real question is "Can I have sex with it?" You can't do that with a zombie because it would be trying to eat your brains.
We could yeah...but still, you'd be doing a rotten corpse that is reanimated for some reason and at the same time is trying to eat your brains. Vampires are not so mindless and (excluding pathetic Twilight) are all about lust and violence. I don't see how that is not cool.

1) Twilight "vampires" as I understand them (I have not read or watched that ****) are not really "vampires". 2) Regardless, the twilight "vampire" craze has ruined vampires for me. so... It was vampires, but now I'll have to go with zombies.

Zombies are better because they are associated with the end of civilization. Vampires try hard to fit into society. Kinda gay.

Completely depends on the film. Most of what I like about zombie movies is the sense of, "holy hell, it's all gone to crap!! now what??" Zombies make a nice backdrop for that...but they're not particularly interesting in and of themselves. The first 10 or so minutes of Dawn of the Dead (remake) I thought were fantastic...the whole leadup into it is what interests me. I loved Anne Rice's books. She brought depth to them, frankly, and there was nothing nice about Lestat. On the other hand, the vampires in 30 Days of Night were a completely different animal....and yet were still more interesting..deeper...than zombies. Zombies aren't really characters. Saying all this, I love watching both types of these movies. I've never seen any of the Twilight movies and I refuse to.
