If any of ya'll who are fascinated at the sight of people being fat in public have a weekend evening open from Mid March to April 2nd....you can come to Pasadena Little Theater and watch Lost in Yonkers...my 306 lbs will be on display for most of the first act, d I also appear briefly in the second act. And by then I might be even fatter because we generally have cookies backstage.
Here in Plano there are 4 Wal-Mart's, and they are building a bigger replacement for the 4th. You have the "dirty big" one... but it's right off the freeway, 75 & Spring Creek (closest to the house). You have the "clean big" one... off Coit & Plano Parkway (best selection, farthest from home). The "small cleanest" one... at Spring Creek & Coit (sort of far, but it has the 24 hr pharmacy of the current three). The "old school small dirty" one in a shopping center off Preston & Park (rarely go there, it closes at 9 PM). And the one they're constructing is off Park & the North Dallas Toll Road. (There are many more around in adjacent cities, and I use them when necessary, especially if it's late.) --- I agree with Swoly-D on this one... I shop there and spend there to have more to provide for my kids. Besides while the kids are growing up, they outgorw clothes too fast. And if someone wants to give them some "nicer" clothes for a birthday or something, they can. And yes. If I need a shirt, and they have one on the clearance rack for $3.00 in my size... I buy it. Whooooo... big deal. Who cares? It's a shirt. Not a suit, or formal wear. Casual work clothes, bum around clothes, jeans... hey, save money for less vain reasons (and when you have kids you'll need to - because they need nike's for t-ball ). Nah, if were about me only I'd probably venture into the higher priced stores, but I have a family now. And it's more conveinient to go into the huge store than to drag all the fam into a mall, or go store to store in a shopping area. I'll shop at Target from time to time, and I even live closer to one. But I kinda have a boycott on them due to their lack of allowing the Salvation Army "red kettle" collections at Christmas since 2003. Admit it, or face it, whatever... if you need something at 2 AM and don't want to spend twice as much on it in a CVS or Stop'n'Go... make the trip to the big Dub. Always open. And it is easier to shop late at night... I use the self check out too. Easy. What was the point of this thread again? Oh yea... On the night of the 13th I bought my wife a dozen roses in a nice arrangement w/vase for under $30... something I have paid near $60 for at a florist before. She liked it just the same. I placed it in her car when I got home (11 PM 2/13) so she'd be sure to see it and all that jazz (tears) before she left the house. It's on her desk at work. It's more about the gratefulness than the price anyway... remember that when seeking a mate. <---that one's free. Why spend the $30 extra? That paid for the movie and the coffee shop after our date night... It's just like anything though. It pays to shop around/know where to shop/when to shop. I definitely won't buy some things at Wal Mart. Just what little is a must. We usually grocery shop at Kroger up here.
